Britney Spears hasn’t tried to hide her dreams of having another baby, but now that it sounds like she might be getting more serious about it, her family is reportedly planning to step in. According to what a source close to the singer told Radar Online, Britney’s family is organizing an intervention to make her realize that trying to get pregnant again is a bad idea. Apparently, they’re all “horrified” by her plans.
Britney recently revealed her plans to expand her family.
Over the weekend, Britney shared an Instagram post that looked suspiciously like a pregnancy announcement, but it was only about her desire to have another baby as soon as possible.
“If you’re lucky I have someone unbelievably beautiful I want to introduce you to… hopefully this year and if not the most beautiful things will never be seen!!!!!” she wrote in her caption.
She continued, “Come what may… oh so near but the feet I feel lived too much in fear so the soil of ground that silence suspends is where I’m found yet there begin!!!! It’s in the silence!!!!!!”
This marked her second post in the past month about wanting a baby. In a since-deleted Instagram upload that she shared last month on Father’s Day, Britney wrote (via Page Six), “it’s an emotional day for me,, guitars remind me of baby aliens,, such gentle strings,,, music is said to be the speech of angels,, I bought this one in Mexico in hopes one day I can have another baby.”
She’s not willing to back down from this.
A source close to the family told Radar Online that Britney is willing to do anything to have another baby, even if it means asking someone who works for her to donate their sperm to make it happen. Reportedly, Paul Soliz, her former boyfriend, is also in the running.
“Britney is deadly serious about this and believes she can still get pregnant naturally at 44,” the source said. “But if that doesn’t happen quickly, she’s willing to go down the surrogate or adoption route.”
Her family is concerned, including her mom Lynne and brother Bryan.
According to the source, Britney’s family is “horrified” that expanding her family is something she’s even considering.
“They’re saying it’s bad enough that she’s still in such a bad place herself, but to add a baby into the mix when she’s clearly still deeply troubled is absolute madness that needs to be stopped,” the insider said. “How can she possibly raise a baby when she can’t even take care of herself?”
The situation is so alarming to them that it doesn’t sound like trying to put Britney back into another conservatorship would be off the table.
“[Bryan], Lynne and a core group of other family and friends are determined to put a stop to this,” the source added. “If that means going down the legal route again, so be it. They feel this is their last chance to save Britney from herself — and to stop an innocent baby from being dragged into the chaos.”
