Friends of Britney Spears are concerned about her well-being after she revealed she married herself. On October 20, 2024, the 42-year-old singer shared a post on her Instagram in her latest act of self-love, in which she dressed in an ivory satin dress and wedding veil. “The day I married myself … Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done !!!” she wrote.

A source says her friends and loved ones are worried.
Speaking to In Touch, a source says that Britney’s friends and loved ones are concerned. “She was ‘freed’ from the conservatorship [in 2021], and ever since, she’s been spiraling,” the inside said.
The pop star was under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, from 2008 to 2021 after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
She and her most recent boyfriend are 'probably not together.'
The source went on to talk about Britney and her most recent boyfriend, Paul Soliz, who is also a former housekeeper of hers. It was speculated that they broke up when she posted that she was “single as f—” on her Instagram.
“They’re on-off, so who knows where they stand right now,” the source said. “But if Britney is throwing her own wedding and marrying herself, they’re probably not together at the moment. But that can all change in a heartbeat.”

Britney went on her own honeymoon.
It didn’t just stop at the act of marrying herself, though, the source shared. “She’s a hopeless romantic at heart. She even went on her own honeymoon!” the person revealed. A video posted days after the wedding video did indeed show her vacationing alone in a bikini by a pool in Turks and Caicos.
“The fact that she planned her honeymoon and there was no husband … it’s just more disturbing behavior on her part,” the insider declared. “She seems to live in this world of make-believe, and things are getting stranger and stranger. Britney deserves a happy ending — but a fake wedding might not be it.”
Fans also seem to be worried.
Aside from her friends and loved ones, Britney’s fans have also expressed concern.
“Poor thing… She has nobody in her life!” one person said. “She doesn’t look well,” another fan added.
Others encouraged her actions. “Good for @britneyspears,” one person stated. “It’s symbolic of a vow to lookout for herself, to support herself and to accept herself.”
Her divorce from Sam Asghari was finalized this year.
Britney was married to Sam Asghari from June 2022 to August 2023. The model filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences that have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, making it impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife.” The divorce was finalized in May 2024.
