What to Know
A wise content creator once went viral for shouting at the world to “leave Britney alone.” But now, Britney Spears‘ adult sons have no intention of doing that thanks to her estimated millions of dollars. Someone on X (formerly Twitter) theorized that Britney’s sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean and Jayden Federline are suddenly back in her life because Kevin is broke and they want the meal ticket that is Britney.
In the post, the user shared a video of Britney posing with her two sons on her boat and then standing in front of the camera solo, dancing as only Britney can do when she is by herself. But Kevin had sole custody of their sons since 2008, per The Guardian, and until the boys were adults, Britney paid child support for them. Now, they’re adults, and the Britney well has dried up, at least where their dad is concerned. Well, that’s what some fans think, anyway.
Some think that Britney’s sons will “plow through her money.”

The user who shared the X post wrote, “Their dad is broke so Britney’s unemployed kids are back hanging out with her. They learned from their dad.” And in response to their post, other users wrote that they think Britney’s sons have ulterior motives rather than simply spending quality time with her. Yes, it’s possible that they grew up and wanted to build a better relationship with their mom. But the timing is everything.
Someone wrote in response to the X post that Jayden and Sean are “fixing to plow through her money and be done.”
“Everything about this is upsetting,” someone else wrote. “Britney is in a manic state and behaving hypersexual around her sons. Her sons are dead-beats, just like their father and are only using her for money. I can only see this ending in tragedy, I so badly wanted Britney to come out on top.”
In response to that, another person commented, “I don’t think they are deadbeats but it’s pretty telling how all these years they didn’t ask for her. Now that they don’t get money from her through the custody agreement, since they are adults suddenly they remembered her.”
Another commenter pointed out that they think Britney isn’t stupid. She just wants people to want to be around her, and that includes her sons. Regardless of their intentions, that’s also entirely possible.
Britney Spears had to pay a lot in child support and alimony.
Britney’s sons are barely adults. Jayden is 19 and Sean is 20. So to say they are “deadbeats like their dad” but be a little harsh. Then again, they have not publicly made a move to get close to their mother since they became adults, so to some, that says a lot. But there is no denying that Britney was stuck paying out a lot of money to Kevin following their divorce and his custody of their sons.
According to People, Kevin wrote in his memoir You Thought You Knew that Britney was forced to pay him $20,000 per month for half of their marriage in alimony payments. She was also ordered to pay him $20,000 monthly for child support. Despite that, Kevin reportedly wrote in his book, it cost more than that to raise his kids in Los Angeles.
Don’t worry, everyone is still a hater when it comes to Kevin Federline.

If Kevin has no haters, then I have died. Because no matter what he says, and what people say about Britney’s mental health, there are plenty of people who are still very much anti-Kevin. In a Reddit thread about the divorce and how much Britney had to pay Kevin monthly following their split, some users called Kevin a “bum” and said he should just get a job.
“He seems to blame her status for elevating his cost of living when we know she paid their expenses before the child support,” someone wrote. “Just funny how deceptive this came off to me.”
Another commented, “He really seems to think Britney fans have amnesia or something huh . This is the fandom with the most receipts dude.”
