Britney Spears Reunites With Mom Lynne & Brother Bryan To Celebrate Her Birthday

Britney Spears and her family have had a strained relationship for years, and after everything she revealed in her memoir, The Woman in Me, it seemed as if she didn't have much hope for reconciling in the future. Still, something must have happened behind-the-scenes to get her and her family talking again, because when Britney celebrated her birthday over the weekend, both her mom, Lynne, and her brother, Bryan, were on hand for the festivities.

Britney's birthday was on Saturday.

On December 2, the pop legend turned 42 years old, and according to TMZ, she celebrated the occasion with a party at friend and manager Cade Hudson's Los Angeles home. The news outlet also reported that they went out earlier in the weekend for pre-birthday festivities, so it appears Brit really went all out this year.

Some of her family members were on hand for the celebration.

Photos obtained by TMZ show Britney's mom, Lynne, outside the residence, and the news outlet reported that Lynne also spent the night at Britney's house. Insiders said Britney and Lynne were "getting along great." Her brother, Bryan, was also at the party.

Lynne said it's 'wonderful' to have reconciled with her daughter.

Speaking with a photographer at LAX on Monday when she was headed back home to Louisiana after the party, Lynne said it was "wonderful" to see Britney again and that she believes her daughter is "happy," although she didn't share any other details.

Seems like good news for this mother/daughter pair!

This reconciliation has reportedly been a long time coming.

A source close to the family told TMZ that Britney is the one who invited Lynne to join her for her birthday after they had been talking on regularly for weeks. With her book's release behind her, it seems Britney has now reached her main goal, which was to "tell her truth and move on."

Her little sister may be next.

The source went on to say that, despite the bad blood between them in the past, Britney had also invited Jamie Lynn to her party, but because she was filming I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, she wasn't able to be there in time.

"Britney wants to make things right with her family. She thinks it's time to start healing," the insider added.
