It looks like at least one of Britney Spears‘ sons is taking after his talented mom. On Tuesday, Britney shared new videos of 18-year-old Jayden James Federline, who appears to be visiting her at home and showing off his musical gifts for her millions of followers. Until last year, Britney and Jayden, who now lives in Hawaii, were estranged, but now that they’ve reunited, it seems like they’re making up for lost time.
In one video, Jayden can be seen freestyle rapping while wearing a beanie and sunglasses as his mom cheers him on from behind the camera.
“That was really good! My son just played! Oh my God! I felt it in my bones and my heart and my lungs and my a– and my throat! I’m scared!” Britney can be heard saying.
She wrote in her caption, “He’s a genius and I’m in awe of him !!! I can’t believe he’s mine !!! I was honestly scared that’s not normal !!!”
Jayden wasn’t done impressing his mom yet, though. In the second video she shared, Britney pans the camera over a framed photo of her and Jayden together before showing him playing music on the piano. “That’s sick!” she can be heard complimenting him.
Britney and Jayden reconnected relatively recently after a long period of estrangement. After her sons were missing from her wedding to ex Sam Asghari, Jayden explained to The Daily Mail in September 2022 that he and his older brother, Sean Preston – whom Britney shares with Kevin Federline – had been taking space from their mom.
“I 100 percent think this can be fixed,” Jayden said at the time. “It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again.”
In July 2024, sources told The Daily Mail that Britney had been in contact with her boys again, and they’d even reached out to her for Mother’s Day.
By the end of the year, they were on good enough terms again that Jayden and Preston spent Christmas with Britney, which she happily shared on Instagram.
In her caption, Britney called it the “best Christmas of my life.”
“I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years !!!” she wrote. “Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed !!! I’m speechless thank you Jesus !!!”
