If you’re a mom, you already know that summer can present quite a few challenges, especially when it comes to keeping young kids entertained and happy on super hot days. At the same time, it can also be hard to find a way to relax amid the chaos during the long hours leading up to bedtime. Apparently, this is something that celeb mom Brittany Mahomes struggled with, too – until she figured out the hack that is a total game changer.
Brittany shared her latest piece of mom wisdom on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, showing off a massive inflatable she bought for her two oldest kids, 4-year-old Sterling and 2-year-old Bronze, to enjoy while playing outside.
Plenty of moms have discovered that backyard bounce houses can be a wonderful way to keep kids occupied while they get out their energy at the same time, but the real genius of Brittany’s hack is buying an inflatable that includes a kiddie pool at the bottom of the slide.
As Brittany lounges in sunglasses and a leopard print swimsuit, she asks her followers, “Did I get this so I can tan while the kids play? We’ll never know.”
Brittany’s Instagram Story about the slide has since expired, but thankfully, Sports Illustrated managed to capture a screenshot. How adorable is this?!
In the footage Brittany shared, Sterling and Bronze seemed to be having a blast, and there’s no doubt that next summer, their 6-month-old little sister, Golden, will be happy to join the crew.
Moms of outdoor and water-loving kids know that something like this could really keep kiddos busy for hours. In fact, most of us would probably have to drag our kids out of something like this kicking and screaming!
All we’d have to add is a cold drink and maybe a good book and we’d be set for the day, minus a few bathroom breaks and trips inside to grab snacks from the kitchen. And who knows? It could be a great way to make friends with other moms in the neighborhood. Who could resist seeing something like this set up in someone’s backyard on a blazing hot day?
It really does seem like Brittany might be onto something here …
