Bryana Holly’s Oscars afterparty dress is making headlines this week, but it’s not quite for an ideal reason. After the celebrity mom shared photos with husband Nicholas Hoult, posing in a low cut black dress, critics had a lot to say about her body and the way it’s changed after she’s had children. But the 32-year-old actress wasn’t about to let all of that body shaming slide, and now, she’s speaking out.
The situation began after she was spotted on the red carpet.

Bryana shared an Instagram post with a carousel of photos that were taken of her and Nicholas as they arrived at the annual Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night, joking that the couple was “out on a school night” and thanking the members of her glam team who helped her get all dolled up for the event.
Her low cut, black dress is what really stole the show in the photo, even though they both look gorgeous. According to People, the dress was made by a sustainable brand, Lurelly.
The couple’s two children stayed home that night, of course — they share son Joaquin, who was born in 2018, along with another child, whose name and birthdate haven’t been made public.
People had a lot of opinions about her dress and her body.
While there were plenty of compliments about how good Bryana looked to go around (including one from her husband), a lot of the comments that people made about her Oscars glam weren’t very kind — especially on TikTok.
Many people assumed that her breasts were the result of cosmetic surgery, with one writing, “Whatever those cost they were worth it,” with another chiming in, “I can see were some of his money went… invested it wisely.”
So much of the commentary online revolved around Bryana’s chest that she couldn’t help but see the comments, and of course, she wasted no time shutting the conversation down.
It didn’t take long for Bryana to clap back.

Resharing her post on her Instagram Stories, Bryana made her feelings clear to her critics.
“I am seeing the comments around my chest and not that * anyone * is owed an explanation , but this is the product of a breastfeeding mother who hasn’t fed her babies in hours ok! If you know then you know,” she wrote in the post, which has since expired.
Fortunately, this statement led to fellow moms coming to her defense in the comments of her original post, with one writing, “Having tandem fed till my eldest was 3 I fully understand. Also it is nobodies business and you shouldn’t have to explain yourself. You look amazing. End of.”
Motherhood is hard enough without receiving unsolicited comments from total strangers, and Bryana looked good. She has no reason to take that kind of talk from anybody!
