No one really thought that Carrie Underwood wasn’t MAGA in some way. But after someone shared photo evidence on X (formerly Twitter) in the form of a specific look the singer has, it’s even harder to deny now. Because apparently, there is one surefire way to tell that Underwood is MAGA and a full-on Donald Trump supporter.
No, she hasn’t said as much herself. But sometimes, a blonde white country singer doesn’t need to actually say it for everyone to take one look and then look at each other with knowing side-eyes. And that’s exactly what happened with the post on X, because anyone who believes otherwise is kidding themselves.
It all has to do with her Mar-a-Lago style makeup.

By now, we are all well aware of a certain look that the ladies of Trump’s inner circle and who regularly visit Mar-a-Lago have. It’s all about over-the-top makeup, big hair (often dyed blonde), and maybe even some plastic surgery or fillers thrown in for good measure. In the post on X, a user shared a photo of Underwood next to a close-up image of someone with “Republican makeup” on. And yeah, it was hard to see the difference.
“You can tell Carrie Underwood is really a MAGA,” they wrote.
Someone replied to the X post with a garish photo of a woman with large lips and eyelashes and wrote, “She’s going full Mar-a-Lago.”
Another user shared an older photo of Underwood and wrote that the American Idol alum has been “MAGA-fied.”
The photo of Underwood does have overly made-up eyes with thick dark lashes. Her face also has a thick layer of foundation that can often be seen on the likes of Karoline Leavitt or Laura Loomer.
An X user also commented, “Girl went from a 10 to a 2 the moment she hooked up with MAGA.”
Her silence on Trump isn’t fooling anyone.
The fact that Underwood has mostly stayed out of politics is one of the other tells that she is full-on MAGA now. The idea of “just staying out of things” or “not getting too political” is a common one among people who would rather not publicly admit their allegiance to Trump. That isn’t necessarily the case with Underwood, but the fact that she hasn’t said otherwise has people assuming she is drinking the MAGA Kool-Aid big time.
In 2019, Underwood told The Guardian, “I try to stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins…It bugs me when people try to pigeonhole me.”
For some, that alone is enough to safely assume that Underwood is a MAGA supporter. Or, at the very least, that she doesn’t oppose Trump. And her Mar-a-Lago makeup confirms that.
She performed at Trump’s inauguration.
When Underwood performed at Trump’s inauguration for his second term in the White House, it made things a little clearer for her fans and critics alike. Although she hadn’t admitted to being a Trump supporter, or a supporter of any specific politician for that matter, her performance did it for many.
Someone even speculated on Reddit at the time that it was a way for Underwood to “stay relevant” in her career.
“Considering she’s become largely irrelevant I suppose this is a way for her to stay relevant in certain circles,” they wrote. “I wasn’t checking for her anyways.”
Another Redditor agreed, “Same. I forgot she existed until now lol. This is probably the biggest singer they could get besides Kid Rock because most popular artists like Taylor [Swift] would NEVER perform for Trump.”
