Being a dad isn't easy. If it were, would we have a holiday celebrating it every June? With Father's Day upon us, of course we're thinking about our own dads, the fathers of our children, and the other important men in our lives. But we also can't help but think about our favorite celebrity dads, too — the ones who do make it seem like being a dad is easy.
We'll give it to them: Being a famous dad certainly has its perks. They're usually able to afford more help than the average father, and they can definitely impress their kids more easily. (Chris Hemsworth's children seem blown away by the fact that their dad is an actual superhero, for example.) Some men just make it look like fatherhood is a walk in the park!
But even though we recognize the work, dedication, and sacrifices that happen behind the scenes in order to be a good parent, it's fun to see the guys who make fatherhood look flawless and seem to have fun doing it.
Channing Tatum
Channing Tatum seems to love every minute of being a dad to his daughter, Everly, who is now 9 years old. He loves it so much, in fact, that he writes a children's book series inspired by her, called The One and Only Sparkella. So sweet!
Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the definition of a girl dad. With three daughters of his own (Jasmine, Simone, and Tiana), he's proven that he's not afraid to get a little girly, have tea parties, and play nail salon. Last year, he told People how having daughters has changed him.
"You can be wired, as a lot of fathers are, to fix things," he said. "Just having an expanded capacity to listen and be more tender and gentle really gave me that ability to solve whatever the issue is, but 'with them' compared to 'for them.'"
Chris Hemsworth
Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky have three children together: India, Sasha, and Tristan. He seems to have a lot of fun joking around with his kids, and frequently takes them to set with him (occasionally in costume). They must know by now how cool their movie star dad really is.
John Legend
John Legend, dad to kids Luna and Miles with wife Chrissy Teigen, seems to love fatherhood so much (and it probably helps that both of his adorable kids look so much like him). How lucky are they to grow up with a father who can sing them high-quality lullabies every night?
Jay-Z
When Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy were spotted at the 2022 NBA Finals, people couldn't stop commenting on how much she looked like her mama, Beyoncé. But what really stuck out was how happy the rapper looked to be sharing this experience with his girl (even when she asked him to stop touching her hair).
Andy Cohen
In April 2022, Bravo host Andy Cohen welcomed his second child into the world via surrogate: a daughter named Lucy Eve. It's clear that he's over the moon to be a father of two — he also has an older son, Benjamin, who turned 3 in 2022.
John Stamos
John Stamos became a dad at 54 years old when he and wife Caitlin McHugh welcomed their son, Billy, into the world in 2018. Based on his Instagram photos, it looks like he's having a blast. (And yes, so far Billy does seem to have inherited his dad's awesome hair. Uncle Jesse would be proud!)
Justin Timberlake
Now that Justin Timberlake is a father of two — he and wife Jessica Biel are parents to sons Silas and Phineas — he seems even more psyched to have the role. We'll admit that we never get tired of seeing their adorable family together, even though they do keep their kids as private as possible.
James Van Der Beek
When it comes to kids, this guy's got a whole gaggle of 'em. Former Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly, have six children in all, and fatherhood seems to be his greatest calling. In almost all of his Instagram photos, he's surrounded by his beautiful brood.
David Beckham
David Beckham is one of the most famous soccer players in the world and one of the most famous dads in the world. He and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, have four children together: Brooklyn, Harper, Romeo, and Cruz. Such a beautiful family!
Dax Shepard
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are relatively private about their daughters, Lincoln and Delta, but it's obvious that he has such a sweet relationship with them. Case in point? The video above, in which Dax and his daughter sang an Adele tune together in the car. So cute!
Ryan Reynolds
As a dad of three girls with wife Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds never shies away from an opportunity to gush about how much he loves James, Inez, and Betty. It seems like they have a really special relationship, and Ryan has even revealed that he has a secret signal to give them when he's doing TV interviews.
Adam Levine
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is such a dedicated dad that he was willing to wear a matching dress with his daughters — that's true love! He and wife Behati Prinsloo have two girls together, Dusty Rose and Gio Grace. How hilarious is this picture from April 2021?
Prince William
If there's one guy out there who's made it clear that his kids are his top priority, it's Prince William — even though he's gearing up to be the actual king of England someday. From what we've seen, Charlotte, George, and Louis couldn't love their dad more.
Prince Harry
We can't mention one royal dad without the other. Prince Harry also seems to be loving fatherhood — so much so, in fact, that he was willing to walk away from life as a senior royal to protect his wife and kids, Archie and Lilibet, giving their family the best life possible in the process. That's an awesome dad in our book.
