For many of us, being a mom means our wardrobes largely consist of leggings, T-shirts, and not much else. But maybe, if we were celebrity moms, things would be different. After all, they have to go to movie premieres and make public appearances pretty frequently — and let's not forget about the red carpet.
Now that 2022 is in full swing, awards season is finally here. After a long period of virtual and socially distanced ceremonies, it seems like this year, things might be a bit more like what we're used to, and we're already loving seeing the looks that our favorite stars are rocking. Between hair, makeup, and stylists, it takes a lot to get celebs ready for big nights like these — and we're even more impressed when we know these ladies have kids at home who are probably underfoot during the process.

When the 2022 British Academy Film Awards took place on March 13, actress Salma Hayek, who is mom to 14-year-old Valentina, did not come to play. She arrived in a purple dress with an impressively high slit, showing off all of her best assets (including those legs!)
Serena Williams
While we're definitely distracted by the sparkles on Serena Williams' dress, the best part of the tennis star's look at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards was clearly that train. Talk about drama! It made her look so regal — and we know her mini fashionista daughter, Olympia, must have loved to see her mom all dressed up.
Jodie Turner-Smith
While we loved seeing Jodie Turner-Smith looking adorable with husband Joshua Jackson on the red carpet, we really have to take a minute to admire her stunning blue gown. This mom welcomed her first child in 2020, and managed to put together a show-stopping look like this with a toddler at home? We're seriously impressed.
Kristen Wiig
Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig also became a first-time mom in 2020 — but to twins! Her kids with husband Avi Rothman, Luna and Shiloh, were born via surrogate in June 2020, though they weren't in attendance at the Critics Choice Awards. Kristen went for something a bit daring in this black sheer lace dress that showed plenty of skin.
Jada Pinkett Smith
Add this very famous mom to the list of women who killed it at the Critics Choice Awards. Jada Pinkett Smith walked the carpet with husband Will Smith (who didn't make it into this pic) in this stunning gold dress (with pockets!) and matching headpiece. She has two kids: Willow, 21, and Jaden, 23.
Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore might be relatively new to the mom game (her first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith, a baby boy named August, was born in February 2021), but when it comes to walking the red carpet, this lady knows what she's doing. She looked positively ethereal in this Grecian-inspired beaded gown.
Halle Berry
Halle Berry snagged the SeeHer Award at the Critics Choice event, and she looked fierce in the process. This blazer and sheer corset look worked so well on her (and that hair!), and we're sure her kids, Maceo and Nahla, were so proud of their mom's achievement.
Maren Morris
Maren Morris showed up to the American Country Music Awards in Las Vegas looking this good — and we know her son, Hayes (who was born in March 2020), was so proud of his mama! Parenting a toddler, releasing a new album, walking the red carpet — what doesn't she do?
Kristin Cavallari
This Very Cavallari star has a lot on her plate these days. She's raising her three children as a single mom and continuing to grow her brand, Uncommon James, after all. But she still had time to pop into the ACMs this year, looking stunning in this black curve-hugging gown.
Reese Witherspoon
At the end of February, the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place in California, and it's no surprise that Reese Witherspoon was on hand on the red carpet. The actress and mom of three wore a black dress with a pop of blue, which just so happens to be one of the Legally Blonde star's signature colors. We love the classic old Hollywood vibe of her look.

Kirsten Dunst and husband Jesse Plemons have two children together — Ennis, who was born in 2018, and James, who was born in 2021. But she walked the red carpet without her kids at the SAG Awards, where she was nominated for her work on the movie The Power of the Dog. Nicole Kidman (along with husband Keith Urban) was at the SAG Awards to celebrate her nomination for her work in Being the Ricardos. And while she looked gorgeous in such a classic look, her kids stayed at home. She and Keith are parents to daughters Sunday and Faith, and Nicole also has an adult son and daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
