After a longer-than-usual wait, the 2020 Olympics are finally here! Some of the world's most talented athletes have gathered in Tokyo to compete, and interestingly enough, the games are especially personal for some of our favorite stars who might be watching from home. As it turns out, a surprising number of celeb couples (both past and present) have included Olympic athletes — among them some professional sports stars we had no idea were even Olympians!
From Gabrielle Union to Kris Jenner, there are more than a few famous men and women who have dated people who know exactly what it's like to see that famed Olympic torch in person. A number of them have even managed to bring home gold medals in the process — pretty impressive!
Read on for all of the celebrities who have dated Olympians. Although some of these couples are no longer together, there's no doubt that these relationships were fun while they lasted.
Enrique Iglesias & Anna Kournikova
Enrique Iglesias is still going strong with his Olympic love — in fact, the singer and tennis star Anna Kournikova have been together for two decades and have three kids together: Lucy, Mary, and Nicholas. Anna competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
Sheryl Crow & Lance Armstrong
For a while, it seemed like Sheryl Crow and legendary cyclist Lance Armstrong were meant to be together forever, so when they broke up in 2006 — after three years of dating and even getting engaged — fans were shocked to find out that they were going their separate ways. (Though probably not as shocking as the disappointing revelation that Lance — who competed in the 2000 Olympics — doped throughout his celebrated career.)
Hayden Panettiere & Wladimir Klitschko
Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko spent almost 10 years together (and welcomed a daughter, Kaya), before they decided to call it quits, but they did seem happy while they were married. And who can deny Wladimir's talents? He won a gold medal in boxing while representing Ukraine at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Colton Underwood & Aly Raisman
It's hard to say who's more famous in this couple. Before he went on to star on the Bachelor, Colton Underwood actually dated Aly Raisman, one of the members of the US Olympic gymnastics team. Though she has since retired, she did compete in two games (2012 and 2016), becoming the second-most-decorated Olympic gymnast in history.
Tiger Woods & Lindsey Vonn
Given that Tiger Woods is one of the most famous professional athletes in the world, maybe we shouldn't be so surprised that he dated an Olympian. Tiger and alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn were together for almost three years before they broke up.
Brooke Shields & Andre Agassi
Here's a major throwback! Back in the 1990s, Brooke Shields was married to tennis legend and Olympian Andre Agassi. The couple ended up divorcing in 1999, though — three years after he competed in the 1996 Olympics — and he's been married to fellow tennis player Steffi Graf since 2001.
Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade
Though we already know these two as one of Hollywood's most beloved couples, it's important to point out that one is both an NBA star and an Olympian. Yep, Dwyane Wade (who famously played for the Miami Heat) also played basketball in the Olympics and helped his team snag a gold medal.
Mandy Moore & Andy Roddick
Before Mandy Moore settled down with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, she famously dated tennis player Andy Roddick, who also happens to have played in the Olympics. He's represented the US in two Olympic Games (2004 and 2012), though he has since retired from the sport.
Candace Cameron & Valeri Bure
Former Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure has been with her husband, hockey player Valeri Bure, for more than 25 years, and they have three children together: Natasha, Maksim, and Lev. Valeri competed for Russia in the Winter Olympics in both 1998 and 2002, bringing home silver and bronze medals.

Serena Williams is one of the greatest tennis players in the world — it's no surprise that she's actually managed to score four gold medals across four different Olympic Games. And before she married Alexis Ohanian, she dated rapper Common, though they kept their relationship rather low-key.
Carmen Electra & Ryan Lochte
Remember that time period when nobody could stop talking about Ryan Lochte? Apparently, that included Carmen Electra. Ryan and Carmen went on a date on his short-lived E! reality series What Would Ryan Lochte Do? and those who witnessed the filming said they were even caught smooching.
Irina Shayk & Cristiano Ronaldo
Before she dated Bradley Cooper or Kanye West, Irina Shayk was hot and heavy with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese soccer player who competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. The couple was together for around five years before they decided to go their separate ways.
Adam Levine & Maria Sharapova
Maria Sharapova's only claim to fame isn't her tennis career (and the silver medal she earned competing in the 2012 Olympics) — she's also dated Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. In his basketball career, he's also played for the US in the Olympics on four separate occasions, winning three gold medals and one bronze.

After her marriage to Robert Kardashian came to an end, Kris Jenner famously married Caitlyn Jenner, who is an Olympic decathlon gold medalist. Unfortunately, this relationship ultimately didn't last either, but without it the world wouldn't have Kendall and Kylie.
