And because everyone had a little extra time on their hands, a lot of the celebrities' baby announcements were pretty creative and memorable. There were music video reveals, rhyming Instagram captions, magazine photo shoots, and more. Props to these moms and dads who took their big news to the next level when sharing their big news with all of us.
From reality stars, to actresses to singers, there are a number of memorable pregnancy announcements from celebs this year, and we're highlighting the 20 who wowed us with their big reveals. Some have even since had their kids, who are all super cute.
Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik
Gigi and Zayn recently welcomed their baby girl in September, but earlier this year, tabloid reports broke the big news that they were expecting. Gigi later told Jimmy Fallon that she wished they could have announced the news themselves, but that she was still very excited to become a mom and glad to have so many fans' support.
Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert
Baby number three is on the way for the Bachelor in Paradise couple, and they announced it with a hilarious photo showing the chaos that even just two kids can bring. "Hit me with your best advice on raising (surviving lol) a family of little kids so close in age if you’re in the thick of it or have been through it!" Jade asked her followers.
Lea Michele & Zandy Reich
The Glee star has since given birth to her son, Ever Leo, with husband Zandy Reich, but we can't get her simple, sweet pregnancy announcement from earlier this year out of our heads. "So grateful," she captioned a photo of her standing in a pretty blue dress and holding her baby bump. Adorable.
Kel Mitchell & Asia Lee
The Kenan & Kel star did a viral challenge to announce that they were expecting. The "Wipe it Down" challenge featured people cleaning a mirror and seeing a different version of themselves pop up as they cleaned. In this version posted on Instagram, Kel was wiping the mirror and then his pregnant wife popped up. So cute.
Jinger Duggar & Jeremy Vuolo
Jinger and Jeremy are expecting their second daughter, and Jinger announced the sweet news with a stunning maternity photo shoot and a caption about the importance of sisters. "The bond that sisters share is unique, and one I cherish every day. After all these years, they're still my best friends! I'm glad God's giving that gift for Felicity to enjoy," Jinger Duggar wrote.
Teyana Taylor & Iman Shumpert
Singer Teyana Taylor just had her second child in September after announcing the pregnancy in one of her music videos. "Wake Up Love" came out in June, and the ending featured Teyana lying in bed with her daughter and husband with a big baby bump that revealed the news.
Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom
Like Teyana, Katy Perry also announced her pregnancy via music video. At the end of "Never Worn White," she turned to the side to show off her baby bump. Kate has since welcomed her daughter with Orlando Bloom, and they named her Daisy Dove Bloom.
Emma Roberts & Garrett Hedlund
Emma Roberts' big news was actually spoiled by her own mom! She recently told Jimmy Kimmel that she'd intended to keep her pregnancy private, but her mother started responding to fans' Instagram comments, confirming that Emma was indeed carrying her first child. (Whoops!) As a result, Emma blocked her mom on social media.
Josh Brolin & Kathryn Boyd
"The Brolin's are a growin' !! Our little December babe is on the way," Kathryn wrote on Instagram when she revealed that she and husband, Avengers actor Josh Brolin, were expecting again. Gotta love a rhyming baby announcement. This will be the couple's second child together, because they already have a daughter named Westyln.
Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty
Nicki Minaj kept it short and sweet when revealing her baby news. She posted a photo of herself with her baby bump on Instagram and captioned it, "Preggers." Several months later, she welcomed her little boy into the world. He's already got a whole wardrobe of Yeezy and Dolce & Gabbana shoes, so he's set.
Vanessa Morgan & Michael Kopech
The Riverdale star shared her pregnancy announcement and gender reveal all in one video. She's expecting a boy this January, but don't expect to get many other updates on the topic as Vanessa wants him to live a more private life than she has.
"I have had the blessing of growing up in the public eye having started my acting career at age 6. While this has been incredible for me, I am very much looking forward to giving this little guy some room to grow up outside of the public eye, until he tells me otherwise," Vanessa said.

Katie Lowes & Adam Shapiro
The Scandal star is expecting baby number two, and she shared the news in the most 2020 way. Katie posted a photo of her Facetiming her husband from the OB/GYN with the ultrasound photos. Many partners haven't been able to join the moms-to-be at appointments this year, and Katie missed out on that too.
But at least we have technology to make things a little less terrible.
Bindi Irwin & Chandler Powell
Steve Irwin's daughter, Bindi Irwin, recently married her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell, and now, the couple is expecting their first child. They revealed the news in the best way they knew how: buying the kid a khaki Australia Zoo shirt. It's so cute that we're crying.
Mandy Moore & Taylor Goldsmith
For several seasons, we've watched Mandy Moore play an amazing mom to triplets on This Is Us, and now, she's going to be a mom in real life. The actress shared the news on Instagram with some artsy black and white photos of the happy couple and her growing bump. "Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021," she wrote.
Princess Eugenie & Jack Brooksbank
There's a new royal baby coming! After getting married in 2018, Princess Eugenie and her husband are expecting their first child. She shared the happy news on Instagram with a photo of little baby bear slippers. "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…" she wrote. Not as excited as us royal fans are!
