Pregnancy is such a wild time in a future mom's life. Just about everything in your body changes, from the way you look to the way you feel (especially when baby is big enough to start hiccuping and kicking), and it's only natural to want to document it all. And of course, that goes for pregnant celebrities, too. We've seen so many famous baby bumps cross our social media feeds through the years as stars become moms, whether or not it's the first time.
Knowing this, it makes sense that maternity photos are such a popular choice, and some of our favorite stars have even taken them to the next level and posed nude while pregnant. We're not talking about the bare bump shot — we mean full naked, showing off their pregnant goddess body in all its glory.
Some of them posed for magazine covers or shoots, while others chose to keep their stripped-down pregnancy moments more low-key, simply posting them on Instagram. But no matter how or where they were shared, photos like these really make us appreciate what the human body can do.
Ireland Baldwin
When she was pregnant with her first child, a daughter named Holland, Ireland Baldwin went the extra mile to prove that she's not going to be a "regular" mom. Not only did she celebrate her impending motherhood with a wild, strip club-themed baby shower, but she also shared this totally nude mirror pic on Instagram that also showcased her tattoos.
Brie & Nikki Bella
What are the odds of being pregnant at the exact same time as your twin sister, with baby boys born just days apart? Celebrity wrestlers Nikki and Brie Bella should consider buying lottery tickets. Not that they need them, of course; they clearly hit the jackpot with this nude maternity shoot that they posed for together to mark such a special (and truly unique) moment in their lives.
Ashley Graham
Given the fact that model Ashley Graham has always been all about body positivity and flaunting what she's got, it seemed like a no-brainer that she'd go nude to show off her belly during both pregnancies, too. This one, during her second go-around, featured artwork of her twin boys, who were born in January 2022.
Jodie Turner-Smith
When Jodie Turner-Smith and husband Joshua Jackson were expecting their first child in 2020, she shared this photo on Instagram, with the sun shining on her baby bump as she held a bouquet of flowers. "I will never forget how this felt and now won't soon forget how it looked," she wrote.
Kourtney Kardashian
It's been a minute since Kourtney Kardashian was pregnant, so this photo taken in 2014, when she was expecting her youngest child, Reign, is a pretty big throwback — so much has changed in her life since then. She was totally glowing on this cover for DuJour magazine.
Kim Kardashian
Kourtney Kardashian wasn't the only member of her family to pose nude while pregnant. Sister Kim Kardashian did, too — if only to prove that she wasn't faking the whole thing.
"I think you all know me well enough to know I would document the process if I got a surrogate. Everyone's body is different, every pregnancy is very different," she wrote, sharing the photo as an attempt to shut down rumors that she was using a surrogate to bring son Saint into the world.
And she was right: When Kim did end up using a surrogate for her third and fourth children, she did share a lot about the process with fans.
Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen shared this bump photo as a throwback to her pregnancy with one of her older children, Luna and Miles, in 2019 in honor of Mother's Day. "The best thing I've ever made are my babies. Thank you for making me a mommy and changing my life forever," she wrote in her caption. Aww!
Serena Williams
When Serena Williams was expecting her daughter, Olympia, in 2017, she showed off her changing body for the cover of Vanity Fair. Today, Olympia — who Serena shares with husband Alexis Ohanian — is already a full-blown big kid and seems to have the most fun relationship with her tennis star mama.
Shay Mitchell
You star Shay Mitchell was big on documenting her pregnancy with her oldest daughter, Atlas, on YouTube, and that ended up happening on her Instagram account, too. She described this trippy photo as "zebra-inspired," and it totally fits Shay's vibes.
Beyoncé
Beyoncé's pregnancy announcements have been among the most unforgettable, and this particular shoot ended up going so viral that it still lives on in people's memories today. These photos, in which Beyoncé was surrounded by flowers while she was pregnant with twins Sir and Rumi, are still so iconic, years later.
Jenna Dewan
Dance pro Jenna Dewan had plenty of bump pics to show off while she was expecting her second child (though her first with Steve Kazee) in 2019 and 2020, and yes, they did all turn out to be this gorgeous. This isn't just a bump shot — this is art!
Ashley Tisdale
When Ashley Tisdale was expecting her first child — a daughter she later named Jupiter — in 2021, she decided to share this casual bump photo to show her body some love.
"So much of the time we give our love to others. Let's start loving ourselves and our bodies in every shape and form. Our bodies do a lot for us every day and we neglect to acknowledge that. Thank your body and say I love you," she wrote at the time.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
In March 2018, supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley used International Women's Day as an excuse to share this absolutely beautiful pregnancy photo. She now has two children with her husband, action star Jason Statham: son Jack Oscar and daughter Isabella James.
Emily Ratajkowski
While we're on the subject of pregnant supermodels, let's add Emily Ratajkowski's photos to the mix. While she was expecting her first child, son Sylvester Apollo Bear, she shared this full-length mirror picture to mark 20 weeks of pregnancy as she was "getting to know" her new body.
January Jones
January Jones has always been extremely private about everything involving her son, Zander Dane, who was born in 2011 — including who his biological father is. But in honor of his birthday in 2017, she did share this nude bump shot, which is seriously impressive (and so pretty).
