Chris Watts Realtor Texts Resurfaced on TikTok & His Responses Are Giving People Chills

Two days after Shanann Watts and her two young daughters were murdered by Chris Watts, Shanann’s husband, he confessed to the crimes. The case is one that is still examined, talked about, and even studied to this day, though the crimes and arrest occurred in August 2018. From Chris’s mistress to his claims at first that his wife had left him, the details were curious and, at times, disturbing.

Like the fact that Chris wanted to sell his house at a time when his family was allegedly missing. In fact, there are some texts between Chris and a realtor that resurfaced and a user on TikTok shared the texts to show just how strange this additional piece of the puzzle is. At the end of the day, Chris admitted to the crimes and, according to NBC News, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. But some of the details are still odd.

In the TikTok video, the user shows texts between Chris and the realtor, Ann Meadows, in a group text that also included Shanann at the time. In the texts, Ann asked where Shanann was and wondered if everything was OK. Chris responded, “She hasn’t been around all day. It’s very odd.” That alone is, for lack of a better word, odd, to say.

To that, the realtor wrote, “That’s really weird. You must be worried? Have you checked with her friends or called and reported her missing?” Maybe her giant leap to that is out of left field, or maybe Ann suspected something to begin with. Because her texts to Chris do not sound like she thought Shanann’s absence was simply strange.

The last text Chris sent to the realtor was, “I’ve done it all. Police are handling it now. Send prayers please.” That’s also a little suspect, because if his wife and children were really missing, the last thing on his mind would probably be corresponding with a realtor at all.

The realtor seemed to suspect him right away.

Other TikTok users commented on the video with the texts between Chris and realtor to say that they felt the realtor knew something, deep down. According to case documents, per A&E, Chris even called Ann the realtor the day of the murders and spoke to her about checking out a house. The timing, and strange texts, are confusing for some. But what many agree on is that the realtor likely suspected Chris almost immediately.

“I think when he says ‘it’s very odd,’ it led to the realtor feeling very concerned,” someone commented. “If he didn’t say that part, I’m not sure the realtor would have said something quite like that.”

Another user suggested, “She must have had a bad feeling about him from the beginning.”

There are still questions about the realtor.

Because Chris pleaded guilty, there was no prolonged trial in the murder case. However, Ann is part of the files related to the case. Possibly because of that, people still talk about the footnote of the aftermath of the crimes involving her, if only slightly. On Reddit, users discussed how the discovery files of the case say that Ann is recorded to have said how she found Chris’s behavior odd.

“I thought it was crazy intuitive that Ann knew something was off when it was just CW texting in their group chat!” Someone shared.

Another responded, “it does seem like she’d heard something about SW or maybe she’d never dealt with CW before and that made her wonder?”
