Christina Applegate Responds to Accusation That Plastic Surgery Changed Her Face, Not MS

Everyone's favorite '90s blond bombshell has proven she has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to stupid comments. Christina Applegate went after a Twitter troll who accused the actress of having a botched cosmetic procedure after recent photos highlighted some of the changes that multiple sclerosis has caused to her face. Don't you come for Christina!

Christina shared her online encounter with her followers on Tuesday.

The Dead to Me star shared screenshots of some direct messages she exchanged with a troll on Twitter.

"Sooooo I made the unfortunate decision to look at some comments on an article from People mag about me and my kids at the [Critics' Choice Awards]," she captioned her post. "Of course, I told her that it wasn't nice. This was her reply. What is wrong with people? By the way, I laughed."

Apparently, the critic didn't believe Christina's story about her MS diagnosis.

Christina has been vocal about all the changes her body has undergone since her 2021 MS diagnosis — including a 40-pound weight gain — but this person seemed to think something else was behind her changing appearance.

"MS didn't make you look that way — a plastic surgeon did," the person wrote. "And you are a scammer and not Christina Applegate."

What we wouldn't give to know how they felt once they saw this interaction go viral.

Obviously, it was the real Christina, and she has made headlines around the world for the classy way she handled the comments about her weight gain. Despite the criticism, it looks like the Married … With Children alum is dead set on keeping her sense of humor intact, something she said was very important in helping her cope with her MS diagnosis during a 2022 interview with Kelly Clarkson.

Christina had a hilarious way of describing her devastating diagnosis while making a virtual appearance on Kelly's show.

Declaring that the whole thing "sucked balls," Christina then revealed that she'd gotten her diagnosis while filming the second season of her hit Netflix series. "I found out on a Monday after work that I had MS, a disease I'm gonna have for the rest of my life," she recalled of getting the difficult news.

Fans continue to rally behind the funny lady.

The new comment about her changing looks obviously got under Christina's skin enough for her to respond to the troll, but by sharing the kind way she handled things she received a swell of support from her followers.

Almost everyone had something positive to say about Christina and the way she's carried herself throughout her life. We hope that she took more stock in the outpouring of love than the offhand tweet from an insensitive stranger.
