Being a working mom sometimes comes with a lot of travel, and unfortunately, that means being away from your kids — something Christina Ricci knows too much about. In a new interview, Christina admitted she had "no bond" with her daughter, Cleopatra, during her first year of life thanks to her Yellowjackets filming schedule because of how often she was flying back and forth to the set to go to work. This could not have been easy!

Christina said she spent most of the last year commuting.
During her appearance on Shannen Doherty's Let's Be Clear podcast, Christina revealed that for much of the beginning of her 2-year-old daughter Cleopatra's life, she was on the move.
"Last year I was commuting back and forth to Vancouver for Yellowjackets. She didn't know me. We had no bond. So that was very upsetting," she explained.
She was also working again when Cleo was just 2 months old.
She credited husband Mark Hampton for getting her (and Cleo) through that time.
"I went and shot Wednesday in Romania when she was 2 months old, and Mark did every single night all night long," she said. "Like I just slept and worked the next day, and it made such a huge difference. It was so much easier this time around. You know, you have to have a good supportive partner."
Cleo was born in December 2021.
Cleo is now 2 years old and joins her big brother, 9-year-old Freddie, who Christina shares with ex-husband James Heerdegen. Christina said that she also had to go back to work while Freddie was a newborn, too.
"There are certain things like my son was never sleep trained because I had to go back to work when he was 2 months old," she said.

'My kids do not like it when I travel,' she said.
But sometimes, it's just part of the job.
"When I'm away, I try to take my son with me as much as I can," she said, later adding, "I think really the thing that I learned, especially with my son, is mixing him into my work life. Why can't he come for the weekend to a convention and see what it's like?"
Now it looks like Christina and her kiddos are making up for lost time.
And if you follow her on Instagram, you know that means plenty of early mornings, like the one she shared here. That's just part of the job, though.
Here's hoping she gets to spend more time with her kids this year. It's so hard to leave!
