Fans of TLC’s Sister Wives know that things have not been calm and happy since Christine Brown and Kody Brown parted ways. Although their split was some time ago, their breakup is still pretty recent in the timeline of the 18th season of their reality show. Christine has been watching along with the fans and recently shared a meme created by a fan that poked fun at her ex.
Christine has been watching the season as it airs, and she’s not holding back much.
A lot has happened for Christine since she broke up with Kody and moved away, leaving her life as a polygamist. She’s living in a new state, has gotten remarried already, and apparently is very ready to laugh at everything that’s happened recently.
She’s been known to react to new episodes on social media in subtle ways like eating nachos with her new husband, David Woolley, which is a nod to something Kody said about Christine years ago.
But in a recent social share, Christine was laughing at a meme created by a fan.
On October 26, Christine took to Instagram Stories to share a meme she had come across that touched on her breakup with Kody as well as two of her three sister wives, Meri and Janelle.
The joke plays off the movie The First Wives Club, changing the title to The Ex-Wives Club. And each of the main characters has one of the women’s faces edited into hers.
Meri as Brenda, Christine as Elise, and Janelle as Annie form the trio.
The photo is hilarious, but it gets even funnier when you look at all the small details, all of which poke fun at Kody.
"Don't get mad. Get rill," is the tagline of the movie, which makes fun of how the family says "real" with their Utah accent.
The fake studio that made the movie is called "Wase-TED! Studios," which makes fun of a line Kody said during an argument with his wives, specifically pointing to the years he "wasted" being married to Christine.
Sharing to Instagram Stories, Christine came across the meme and had a good giggle.
“Oh my gosh!! I laughed my head off when I saw this!!" she wrote across the image.
Christine’s decision to share the meme then made its way to Reddit and its popular channel r/SisterWives, where everyone continued the laugh.
“Funny, I wonder what Robyn would think of this,” one person replied.
“This is a big dill,” another person shared.
'We need more of this kind of stuff!!' someone else wrote.
Christine was the first of the wives to announce she was divorcing Kody, a spiritual marriage, not a legal one. They split in 2021 after 27 years together.
She remarried David just a few weeks ago.
Two of Kody’s other wives, Janelle and Meri, have also split with Kody; Janelle left in December 2022 after 30 years together and Meri and Kody split not long after that.
Kody is still married to Robyn, his fourth wife and only legal marriage.
