In body, Madonna is 67 years old. Spiritually, she’s a timeless pop queen… and apparently, people are having so much trouble reconciling these two facts that it’s turned into a major fandom war on social media. After a zoomed-in photo of Madonna’s hands went viral, Lady Gaga‘s fans are making it an example of how they are bullied by Madonna’s fans when it comes to their favorite singer, and the drama is only getting worse.

After fans of the “Love Sensation” singer were gushing over a photo of her on X, one Little Monster zoomed in on Madonna’s hands to show how they’re aging (as they do in one’s 60s).
In a reply to the photo they reposted, the fan wrote, “I love how all I said was ‘oh’ and y’all are freaking the f— out. Didn’t even have to say more. Now y’all know how LMs feel when y’all attack Gaga for NO REASON.”
They also claimed that what’s being said about Madonna right now isn’t even close to how “disgusting” her fans have been about Lady Gaga in the past. Hmm…
Madonna fans are accusing Lady Gaga fans of ageism.

If Madonna’s fans were supposed to learn a lesson from that post, it didn’t happen — instead, they’re just angry that people think there’s something wrong with having wrinkly hands as you get older and that people are coming for their favorite artist.
“Fitting for someone who doesn’t show their face on their profile to comment on a woman’s body,” one person wrote, while another added, “it’s actually admirable how she didn’t let them photoshop her hands bc she’s not ashamed of aging like you are. love her.”
And by the way, that message definitely didn’t convince any Madonna fans to stop hating on Gaga, because one wrote, “I bet Gaga hands look exactly like this in her 40s.”
There has been an ongoing feud between Lady Gaga fans and Madonna fans for over a decade.
As Bored Panda pointed out, animosity between Gaga and Madonna fans is nothing new — in fact, it goes back to 2011, when Madonna fans were convinced that Gaga’s song “Born This Way” (which has turned out to be one of the biggest songs of her career) sounded too much like Madonna’s “Express Yourself.”
Madonna appears to feel the same way, since in a 2012 interview on 20/20, she said, “
“When I heard [‘Born This Way’] on the radio, I said, ‘that sounds very familiar.’ It feels reductive.”
Ouch. No wonder the fans are still feuding!
