As labor and delivery nurses and OB-GYNs can attest, childbirth doesn’t wait for anything. This goes for performing live concerts. And recently, country music singer Brantley Gilbert’s wife, Amber, gave birth mid-show on a tour bus in the parking lot.
The “Bottoms Up” crooner, 39, married his wife, Amber (Cochran) Gilbert, in 2015. They were already parents to a son, Barrett, 6, and a daughter, Braylen, 5, ahead of an October 11 show. But in the middle of his set, Brantley and Amber suddenly welcomed baby No. 3.

The country singer was abruptly pulled off stage in the middle of a show in Tupelo, Mississippi.
On October 11, Brantley was playing a show in Tupelo when something unexpected happened. Crew members quickly pulled him off stage for a family emergency shortly after his set began. As it turned out, his wife went into labor and was about to deliver their baby.

On October 12, Brantley took to Instagram with a video detailing how the “craziest night of my life” played out.
“Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget,” he captioned the update. “Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”
Of the quick labor and delivery, Brantley said his wife was a 'freaking savage.'
In the Instagram video, Brantley called his mom after Amber delivered their baby boy on the tour bus. His mother asked how he was doing, and he replied, “Not as good as you’re about to be. You got a new grandbaby!”
When Brantley’s mom then asked how Amber was doing,” he answered, “She’s a freaking savage!”

Afterward, Brantely continued the concert.
After calling his mom, the country singer proceeded to return to the stage and finish his set. He declared to the crowd, “We got a baby in Mississippi!”
Concertgoers cheered for Brantley’s baby news, as seen in a video a fan shared via TikTok. After hugging his band and crew members, he stopped to bend down and wipe his eyes.
“I reckon, if Elvis was born here …” he joked, referencing Tupelo, the birthplace of the King of Rock and Roll.
In the Instagram comments, fans reacted to the unexpected delivery.
