Critics Call Out Katey Duggar’s ‘Appalling’ To-Do List: ‘Where’s Jed?’

With four kids under the age of 4, it goes without saying that Katey Duggar has her hands full. After all, as a stay at home mom, the bulk of the child care is naturally going to fall to her, especially during work hours. But after she shared her to do list, her critics are convinced she’s doing too much without her husband, former 19 Kids and Counting star Jed Duggar‘s help.

It all started when Katey Duggar posted to her Instagram Stories.

Not sure what the most appalling thing on this list is

In a post Katey shared on her Instagram Stories on Saturday that was captured and shared on Reddit, she posted a selfie, along with her to-do list for the day.

Some of her tasks included getting ready for daughter Nora’s birthday, including wrapping gifts, ordering a cookie cake, and decorating, while others included taking out the trash, putting away clothes, and even organizing Jed’s closet for him.

Some people are curious about why Jed isn’t helping.

Critics on Reddit weren’t impressed that it seemed like Katey was taking care of everything herself, especially when it involved organizing Jed’s closet — something he should be responsible for doing on his own.

One commenter wrote: “Jed is an adult. He can organize his own closet.”

“This reads like she’s a single mom when, in fact, she does have a husband … he just doesn’t really do much which is sadder,” another added.

One commenter wrote that everybody should have seen this coming: “Not sure why I expected more from the guy who chose to sleep in a bunk bed with his twin as an adult.”

Others want to know where her kids are in all this.

This is a long list for anyone to tackle, even if they don’t have kids in the house, which means that some were wondering how she managed to get it done with four little kids underfoot.

“I have to know who is watching the kids while she’s doing all this? I can barely detach (breastfeeding) myself from our newborn long enough to fold clothes,” a fellow mom wrote.

Another was concerned that she wasn’t interacting with her kids enough through the day based on this list, writing, “Where’s the feeding, playing with, cuddling the kids?”

Katey has been honest about the ups and downs of motherhood.

There’s a good chance she enjoys taking care of this list on her own. According to what she wrote in her Mother’s Day Instagram post, she “wouldn’t change a thing.”

“Being their mother is truly my greatest joy and purpose,” she wrote. “At the same time, it’s for sure the hardest and most exhausting thing I’ve ever experienced. Hard, yet totally worth it.”
