What to Know
When Love is Blind contestants are in the pods, and then when they leave the pods engaged, they have to have tough conversations with their chosen partners. From the topic of kids to money and politics, it’s all often laid out on the table, and rightfully so. Except in Season 10, viewers noticed a lack of political conversations and, afterward, some of the women in the cast came out to share that they absolutely spoke about their anti-Donald Trump views.
Only, viewers didn’t see any of that play out on the show. Instead, per the ladies, key scenes with these types of topics were edited from the show. If Love is Blind didn’t instead show some pro-Trump conversations, that might have been OK. But now, people are calling the Netflix show “MAGA propaganda,” and it’s not cute.

Some ‘Love Is Blind’ stars say their political comments were edited.
After the season dropped in its entirely on Netflix, Jess Barrett and Keya Kellum both spoke about their non-negotiables regarding Trump supporters. But, viewers will probably recall, they didn’t see any such conversations in the pods or outside of the pods. There was some vague talk, but not as much as it sounds like there was before editing began on the episodes.
Keya appeared on Love Is Blind‘s What’s The Reality? podcast in February 2026 and revealed that she asked all of her pod dates about their political affiliation, with the hope of them saying they did not vote for “this man.” Who, presumably, is Trump.
“Not everything makes the cut, but something I stood really firmly on was my political beliefs,” she said on the podcast. “And I had a ton of conversations about that in the pods with men who had opposing beliefs. The framing that it is Republican against Democrat is just so not true. It is all of us against hate. And what I do not stand for is hate.”
Jess had a similar story when she was on the Love To See It podcast after filming ended. She revealed, “I specifically asked everyone, ‘Did you vote for Trump? Are you a Trump supporter?’ And I talked ad nauseam about human rights because that is such a pillar of my life.”
But no one saw those conversations make it into the show. In the comments under a TikTok about what Keya said, someone said they think fans should “boycott” Love Is Blind because of its so-called MAGA propaganda. Someone else wrote, “Wow I didn’t realize that the only political convo they aired was pro MAGA. It really is propaganda.”
Other stars from the show were seen speaking positively about Trump.
Jess and Keya’s important conversations and topics might have been edited out, but talk about pro-Trump rhetoric definitely was not. When Ashley Carpenter brought Alex Henderson home to meet her parents, one of the first questions her dad asked Alex was who he voted for. Alex admitted he didn’t vote because he was out of the county, but that he would have voted for Trump. Yet, that wasn’t edited out. And viewers took note of that.
