What to Know
It’s hard to imagine how people deal with the amount of intense scrutiny that comes with existing in the public eye. Some people embrace the “don’t read the comments” approach, but Cruz Beckham does not appear to be one of them. The 21-year-old, who is the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, recently came across a pretty harsh social media post that called him and his siblings “ugly.”
Instead of scrolling past it and acting like he never saw it, Cruz responded directly.
A lot of other people weighed in too.
On Instagram, an account called Mostly Humour shared what appeared to be a screenshot of an X post about the Beckham family. The original poster praised David and Victoria for being extremely attractive people, but then proceeded to criticize their children.
David and Victoria are parents to Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, and Harper, 15. The X post read, “It’s bizarre that a couple with such an insanely stunning face card only ended up with ugly kids.” Ouch.
The post has garnered more than 53,000 likes as of August 31 and more than two thousand people have shared their thoughts in the comments. One of them just so happened to be Cruz Beckham himself.
It seems that those reacting to the post did not expect him to actually see it.

And yet, casually, among all the other comments, is a Druski meme that Cruz shared in response to the post calling him “ugly.” The meme shows comedian Druski pointing at himself and looking confused.
While the post criticizing the Beckham kids is clearly somewhat popular, it’s maybe not that popular. At least not as popular as Cruz’s response, which has garnered more likes than the post itself (his comment has more than 110, 000 likes).
People found his response hilarious, and several commenters also assured him that he and his siblings are not actually “ugly.”
“don’t listen to them, you and ur siblings look amazing,” one person wrote in response. Someone else said, “they’re lying king, don’t let them get you down.”
People praised Cruz for having a good sense of humor, but also criticized the original post.

The Beckham kids have grown up in the spotlight because of their parents, and the amount of negative attention they’ve gotten really bothers some people, especially given that Harper is still a child.
“It’s nice that he has a sense of humor about it, but it’s gross that they’ve all had people commenting on their appearance since they were kids,” one person wrote on Reddit.
And although the fact that Cruz happened to see the post and didn’t seem all that bothered by it was funny to many people online, others actually found it pretty disturbing.
“What an obnoxious thing to say about other people’s kids,” someone else said. “Yes the older boys are adults now but the daughter is still a kid. No kid let alone a teen girl should have to read such stuff. If it came across her brother’s social media then she may end up seeing it as well.”
