Rapper Drake may have managed to hide the fact that he's a father for nearly a year and keep his son's image off of social media for even longer, but now that the news has been out for a while, eagle-eyed fans are always on the lookout for pictures of the "Toosie Slide" rapper's young son Adonis. Drake's little boy was born on October 11, 2017, to French artist and former adult entertainer, Sophie Brussaux, whom Drake had a brief fling with during his Boy Meets World Tour earlier the same year Adonis was born. Though Drake and Sophie are not a couple, the international superstar is still a big part of his son's life.
All that said, Drake's son Adonis didn't make his social media debut until he was 2 years old, and we still only get a glimpse of him only occasionally. Adonis is such a curly-haired cutie! He looks a lot like a blond-haired version of his famous papa.
We totally respect his parents' choice to keep their private lives private, but that doesn't mean we don't occasionally stalk their social media accounts for family photos. Happy Birthday!
Little Adonis was born in the fall of 2017 and at the time, Drake says he wasn't sure whether Adonis was his son or not, despite Sophie's insistence that he was. Drake claims that's why he chose not to go public with the news of his son's birth in the beginning. He wanted to know for sure that he was the dad first.
Breastfed Baby
Adonis got a healthy start to life. In a family appreciation post his mom Sophie posted in 2020, there's a photo of a newborn baby Adonis nursing from his happy mama while the two were still in recovery at the hospital after his birth in 2017. They both look so incredibly content.
Bottle-Fed Baby
Adonis, the blue-eyed cutie, was also offered a bottle by his mama when he was an infant. There's absolutely nothing wrong with combination feeding! Even more noticeable than how he's being fed, is what an adorable little guy Adonis turned into. It didn't take long for his soft curls to come in.
Happy Boy
Adonis looks like such a happy boy. He has such a sweet smile and clearly brings his mom lots of joy. He had that adorable chubbiness as an infant, too, but he's stretched out a lot in the past couple of years. Oh, and just wait until you see how long his curls have grown as a toddler!
Oh, That Hair!
Once Adonis' blond curls started to grow in, his parents apparently decided to have a little fun with it and and used a filter to match him and make themselves look blond as well. The occasion was Adonis' second birthday, so he had quite a lot of hair by then.
Daddy Love
The resemblance between Adonis and his famous daddy is uncanny! Their facial features are so similar! Like many people, Drake had to spend time apart from Adonis at the start of the health crisis, and wrote about it on Instagram. He posted: "I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on."
Look at That Guy
Who could resist that big smile?! We bet Adonis has Drake and his mom Sophie wrapped around his little finger. He just looks so full of joy. He's seriously such a cutie and it'll be a lot of fun to see how he grows up and what he'll look like as he gets older. It's not uncommon for kids' hair to get darker as they get older, so he may end up looking even more like his papa.
His Daddy's Face
To our point, take a look at this solo photo of Drake's son Adonis. We wish we could see a side-by-side photo of him and the "Hotline Bling" rapper when he was a toddler. The father and son resemblance really is uncanny. There would have been no denying that relationship at this point.
That Rich Life
We're pretty sure that's a Range Rover Power Wheels Adonis has there, and he gets to use it inside. That's definitely baller status, but with Drake for a dad, what else could anyone expect? Honestly though, Adonis looks just as stunned as the rest of us that he gets to play with such a cool toy.
The Littlest Astronaut
Adonis' mom Sophie is a self-professed "space enthusiast," so it makes total sense that she's passed her love on to her son. Adonis looks too cute dressed up as a tiny astronaut. "I'm so proud of the little man you're becoming, I love you more than life," she captioned a series of Instagram photos, including this adorable shot. "The world is YOURS! We did that @champagnepapi ."
Birthday Vibes
Although Adonis and Drake went some time without seeing each other in 2020 due to travel restrictions, they reunited in time for Adonis' third birthday, which they celebrated in October. Drake decorated with a space theme created out of balloons, and it looks like Adonis absolutely loved it. So cute!
Adonis in Canada
Over the winter, little Adonis spent some time in Canada where his father Drake is originally from. His mom posted this pic of them enjoying some playtime in the snow in Toronto, which is where Drake was born. We hope they got in lots of quality family time together. Christmas in Toronto definitely seems like a good idea.
So Much Swag
Now that's a ride to school! Adonis' first day of school was definitely a "lifestyles of the rich and famous" moment. Drake made sure to take the requisite "first day of school" picture of his first child, but we can't help but notice his fancy surroundings. Plus, Adonis had way too much swag for such a little guy.
Daddy Snuggles
Drake is just soaking up all the snuggles from his little guy here. Considering the megastar worked significantly less over the past year due to concert and award shows being canceled, he probably loved that he had the chance to spend more time with his one and only child. Oh, and peep Adonis' braids!
