Daniel Radcliffe and his long-time girlfriend, Erin Darke, have a lot to celebrate! The couple recently confirmed that they're entering the world of parenting, with Erin expecting their first baby.
The 'Harry Potter' star is going to be a dad!
According to US Weekly, a representative for Daniel confirmed that he and his girlfriend are going to be parents after photos of the two walking in New York hinted at the news.
The notoriously private couple didn't share the news with a big announcement.
After photos of the couple walking around New York, where Erin had a visible bump, circulated online, they confirmed they were entering parenthood. But there was no big announcement from the couple.
No other details were released, including their baby's due date, though Erin looks to be in the second trimester at least.
The pair have been together for more than 10 years.
Last year, Daniel spoke about his private relationship with Erin, saying he's "really happy."
"I've got a really nice life. I've been with my girlfriend for a decade pretty much. We're really happy," he said in a 2022 interview with People.
Daniel and Erin met more than a decade ago while working together.
Daniel and Erin met on the set of the 2013 indie film Kill Your Darlings. While promoting the film, the two were spotted out together a few times, and they've been an item ever since.
More recently, the pair worked together on the 2016 movie Don't Think Twice and Season 3 of Daniel's series Miracle Workers. Although working together doesn't work with some couples, Daniel enjoys it when he gets to work with Erin but sporadically.
"We definitely like [working together], but it's not something we want to do all the time," he said. "Hopefully we'll get to do more in the future, but we also both write. So maybe we'd write something together at some point, and that would be cool."
Given how private the pair are, we're not likely to hear too many details when their baby is born.
Even though we're not likely to get much information when their baby arrives, Daniel previously spoke about his wish for his kids not to be famous, telling Newsweek last fall that he "wouldn't want fame for my kid." However, he added, "I want my kids, if and when they exist … I would love them to be around film sets.
"A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like, 'God, you know, I'd love to be in the art department. I'd love to be something in the crew,'" Daniel shared. "Film sets are wonderful places. I think a lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids. But it's really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs."
