Somehow, in the year 2026, people are still asking women if they’re pregnant… and one Dancing With the Stars dancer is pointing out exactly how not okay that is. But after DWTS pro Daniella Karagach called out her fans for speculating about whether or not she and husband Pasha Pashkov are expecting a baby, it seems like they probably won’t be remarking on her body again anytime soon.
It all started with a photo Daniella shared with Pasha.
The photo shows the couple posing together in their swimwear on the beach, with the ocean in the background. Daniella looks gorgeous, as always, but something about the photo made people think that maybe she’s expecting a baby — and, apparently, that it would be okay for them to speculate about it in the comments of her post.
One commenter even encouraged it, writing: “No pressure because everyone has their own parenthood / ttc journey, but also please make more babiessss!! Y’all are too beautiful. (Again, no pressure, please no one come at me lmao).”
One person even straight up asked in a comment, “When is Baby #2?” to which Daniella replied, “when @pashapashkov and I decide it’s time…”
Daniella and Pasha are already parents to a 3 year old daughter, Nikita.
The next day, she decided to speak out.
Daniella addressed the comments in a post on her Instagram Stories on July 23 that has since expired.
“It’s 2026 and we’re still assuming people are pregnant after they’ve just had a full burger and dessert? Really?” she wrote, via Closer. “Let’s normalize not commenting if a woman is pregnant just because you’re used to seeing her a certain way. I’m on break and enjoying every minute of it.”
Daniella added, “Ps. There are people currently going through things, I think y’all need to be a bit more sensitive and if I do get pregnant in the near future, let me be the one to tell you. Peace out. I’m gonna go enjoy some food.”
People are on Daniella’s side for this one.
As Closer pointed out, fans on Reddit have been quick to come to Daniella’s defense on this one.
“I don’t understand how people don’t get how rude and ignorant it is to speculate about if someone’s pregnant,” one person wrote. “That should just be common sense but time and time again it’s proven that it is not.”
Another added, “The constant speculation about these pros being pregnant or telling them they should be having another baby are inappropriate especially when pros like Jenna and Peta have been vocal about their miscarriages.”
Daniella is totally right — nobody should be speculating on whether anyone is pregnant. If she and Pasha decide to have another baby, isn’t it better to hear it from her, in the way she chooses to share it?
