Congratulations are in order for Demi Lovato and Jordan "Jutes" Lutes! The pair, who met in January 2022 when collaborating on Demi's song "Substance," announced their engagement on December 17. Demi, who was previously engaged in 2020 to actor Max Enrich, first went public with her relationship with Jordan in August 2022. Announcing their engagement, she gushed that Jordan is "the love of my life."
An engagement is about a couple deciding to spend their live together, of course, but it's also a chance to show some love via jewelry, and Demi is definitely showing off that love on her ring finger. Jordan proposed with a massive pear-shaped diamond sparkler, perfect for the person he describes as "his best friend."

The couple had an 'personal and intimate' proposal.
The couple got engaged privately and then headed to one of their favorite restaurants to celebrate with their families, according to a report in People.
fter sharing their happiness with their families, Demi took to Instagram to tell her fans, sharing in a post addressed to Jordan, "My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you.. every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby."
The couple have collaborated on several songs.
Jordan, in addition to being someone Demi described as "gorgeous, funny, sexy, talented" and "a literal dream come true," is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He has several credits on Demi's most recent album, including the aptly titled "Happy Ending."
Like Demi, Jordan has also been open about past struggles with substance use.
The pair have reportedly bonded over their respective journeys to sobriety and are clearly big fans and supporters of each other.
In August, Jordan gave Demi an Instagram shout-out and declared her to be "my best friend. you’re obvs the most beautiful and talented person to ever do it. but more importantly you’re weird af and u make me cry laughing. your heart has changed lives all over the planet … especially some dude from a farm in canada who wound up in your session over a year ago.
"i didn’t know the perfect person existed until i met u," he continued. "but now that i do, i’m gunna spend the rest of my life protecting u and doing whatever i can to squeeze another smile n belly laugh outta u. i couldn’t be more proud to call u my baby."
Clearly these two are going to be having a happy holiday season following their engagement!
