Hot on the heels of Lindsay Lohan's big pregnancy reveal earlier this week, her mom is already gushing about how excited she is about her future grandchild. Dina says she's "over the moon" about Lindsay's pregnancy, sharing a sweet update about this exciting time in her family's lives in a new interview.
Lindsay shared the news earlier this week.
For such a big announcement, she did her best to keep it low key. Lindsay took to Instagram to share a photo of a white baby onesie that reads "coming soon."
"We are blessed and excited!" she wrote.
This will be the first child for Lindsay and her financier husband Bader Shammas.
Dina says she 'can't stop smiling' about Lindsay's pregnancy.
While talking to People, Dina shared that she is "over the moon."
"It's incredible. We're just so excited. It's just such a beautiful thing for my child! And I love babies. Who doesn't?" she said. "My oldest baby is having a baby. It's so crazy. I'm in disbelief a little bit sometimes because you're like, 'Well … it makes you older clearly!'"
She shared that this is something Lindsay has wanted for a long time.
And now, the timing is finally right for the 36-year-old star.
"Lindsay has always loved kids because I love kids and my mother loves kids; I'm one of four," she added. "We have a big family, so she's always wanted children. And she's so maternal. Isabelle, her niece just runs to her when she sees her."
Dina is excited for her son-in-law too.
"It's the right time for her and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they're just so happy. They're just really happy and ready," she said.
She added that Lindsay has been constantly asking her what different pregnancy symptoms mean — something that many of us have done with our own moms while expecting.
She says Lindsay is already showing.
Unfortunately, Dina said she wasn't allowed to share Lindsay's due date or the sex of the baby (though she does know whether she'll be getting a granddaughter or a grandson already).
