Donald Trump’s Glow-Up After Meeting Zohran Mamdani Has People Very Curious

All it took was one hangout sesh between Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani for Trump to get a googly-eyed man crush and decide he actually wanted to be besties with New York City’s mayor. Maybe that’s a little much, but there are plenty of observations on social media following Trump and Mamdani’s Oval Office meeting and how Trump even appeared to change up his wardrobe afterwards.

In a TikTok video shared by CBS News, Trump speaks to reporters after meeting with Mamdani at the White House. He clearly ditched his usual uniform of a plain suit for a sleek dark jacket and a wine red scarf tucked into it. He looks like he underwent a makeover, or was at least inspired by Mamdani, and if South Park doesn’t create an episode with an actual 90’s-themed makeover montage, what are Matt Stone and Trey Parker even doing?

@cbsnews When asked on Saturday if he would still send the National Guard to New York City, Pres. Trump said, “If they need it, I would do it.” His response comes a day after he had a meeting in Washington, D.C., with NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. Trump praised Mamdani to the press after the meeting, telling reporters the newly-elected mayor is “very rational” and that he expects he will do “really great.” “Right now other places need it more,” Trump said Saturday. “…But if they need it, I would do it.” #trump #newyork #nyc #nationalguard ♬ original sound – cbsnews

Trump obviously got some fashion inspo from Mamdani, let’s be real.

Even when Mamdani was running for mayor ahead of the 2025 election in New York City, he made headlines, and TikTok users made edits of him, because of his fashion and general style. If I was a much younger person, I might even say his rizz, but let’s not get carried away here.

Clearly, he rubbed off on Trump in some way, because people were quick to comment on Trump’s change in appearance almost directly after meeting Mamdani, whom he had criticized before.

“Met Mamdani once and immediately tried to up his swag,” one user joked in the comments under the CBS News TikTok.

Someone else agreed and added, “Mamdani definitely left an impression because I’ve never seen bro dressed like that.” A truer sentence has never been typed on TikTok.

“Did Mamdani factory reset him or something?” Another user joked in the comment section. Obviously, Trump was not inherently changed by one meeting with a politician from a different political party.

Given the way South Park portrays Trump, it would make sense for a future episode to feature this meeting and put a comical spin on it like only South Park can. Maybe Trump develops an actual crush on Mamdani, gets his makeover, and his liver, Satan is jealous. I mean, the possibilities are sort of endless, but if they use that, I’ll be waiting for my royalties.

Under another TikTok about Trump’s style change after he met Mamdani, a TikTok user wrote that “a new episode of South Park cannot come out soon enough.”

Someone replied to that comment with, “I am seeing them constantly having to scrap what they are doing because something crazier comes along.”

With Trump in the news or in a headline every other day for a new comment or social media post, they aren’t wrong. But come on, this Trump/Mamdani crush is a gold mine. And, as South Park has shown fans, no one is off the table as far as satire goes. Sorry, Mamdani.
