8-Year-Old Dream Kardashian Models at Fashion Week & People Aren’t Sure How They Feel About It

At age 8, Dream Kardashian is already a runway model. Dream, daughter of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna, walked down the runway during New York Fashion Week on September 13, 2025. In spite of her young age, it was actually not her NYFW debut. She also walked in the Zeus & Lexi Kids show last year.

In September 2024, Dream shared several modeling videos and photos on Instagram and some Kardashian fans praised her “natural talent” because she looked so confident walking down the runway. “She just has it,” one fan commented at the time. “She was meant for the runway.”

One video of Dream walking down the runway was captioned with, “NY Fashion week 🎉 I had so much fun, until next time. 💕”

This time around, some Kardashian fans weren’t sure how they felt about Dream’s participation in New York Fashion Week. During this year’s fashion week, she appeared in the Indie Fashion Show and sported a blazer dress with puffy sleeves and black high-top sneakers. Though people found the fashion show cute overall, some were concerned about the adults watching and recording it. “Grown adults taking videos of a child,” one person wrote on Reddit. “I hate everyone involved in this.”

In response, a second person said the show “feels too much like a child beauty pageant.” But others simply found Dream “adorable” and didn’t see anything wrong with the fashion show. A third person wrote, “She did good, and looked so confident! I’m not sure how people are trying to make this negative or do the whataboutism in the comments.”

While some people didn’t think the show itself was inappropriate, they did have questions about Dream’s outfit. “She’s adorable but that outfit is for a 70+ year old woman in 1985…🤷‍♀️” another critic pointed out. At the same time, another person thought the sneakers made the outfit a bit more age-appropriate. “Her dress is ready for corporate and her shoes are ready for the playground,” they wrote.

Though Dream’s modeling career is already taking off, her mom believes she “is going to be a businesswoman and a leader,” she said during a December 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight. Right now, she also prioritizes “letting [Dream] be creative.” And Dream seems to have big dreams for herself as well. “We were driving and she goes, ‘I’m gonna go to UCLA,’ all this cute stuff,” Chyna said. “I’m like, ‘That’s hard, Dream.’ She’s going to go very, very, very far. Just how she moves, she has a lot of common sense.”
