Looking back on the history of the Duggar family, there's one thing that seems to happen as frequently as pregnancy announcements: weddings. We've loved watching the young ones from 19 Kids and Counting get married one by one over the years, but something we love even more than seeing the big day itself is everything that leads up to it. The planning, the dress shopping … and of course, the proposals.
As the oldest in the family, Josh Duggar was the first of Jim Bob and Michelle's kids to get married when he met Anna, but soon, his siblings began to follow suit. Jill, Jessa, and Jinger all shortly received gorgeous rings from the men in their lives, and it wasn't long until those diamonds just kept rolling in.
It's been a minute since we've seen a proposal on Counting On — and since the show has been canceled, we'll never get to see it again. But in the meantime, we can drool over the pretty engagement rings in this family, from the traditional to the truly unique.
Anna's Ring From Josh
It's been a long time since Josh popped the question, and a lot has happened since then (to say the least), but as far as we know, Anna is still wearing her engagement ring, despite what their family has been going through. Josh asked Anna to marry him when he surprised her at a restaurant on her birthday, and the rest is Duggar history.
Jill's Ring From Derick
After starting out their relationship by doing the long distance thing while Derick was still living in Nepal, he asked her to marry him by having country singer Walker Hayes write and perform a song about their relationship while they were on a date. Jill didn't hesitate to show off her pretty solitaire ring.
Jessa's Ring From Ben
Much like Jill's, Jessa's ring is sparkly yet simple, featuring a princess-cut solitaire diamond — not that we're surprised. After all, Jessa's never been too fussy about those kinds of things, so this style of ring definitely suits her (and this throwback photo really shows how excited she and Ben were to get married). But what really makes it special? Ben designed the ring himself.
Jinger's Ring From Jeremy
Though Jinger tends to do things differently than the rest of her family, when it came to her engagement ring, she was actually pretty similar to her sisters. She also got a solitaire ring, featuring a square-shaped diamond, during her proposal from Jeremy that featured a violinist and a surprise appearance by her family.
Joy's Ring From Austin
Having watched Joy grow up on 19 Kids and Counting, we can't say we're too surprised that she went with something super simple herself, too. And now, she spends her days working on fixer-upper houses with husband Austin, so a solitaire diamond definitely fits.
Kendra's Ring From Joseph
Not only does Kendra have such a beautiful, timeless engagement ring, but it was also given to her on a pretty special day. Joseph asked her to marry him at Joy's wedding to Austin (with the bride's blessing, of course), and Kendra definitely didn't see it coming.
Lauren's Ring From Josiah
Given Lauren and Josiah's disappearance from social media, it's hard to get a good look at her ring, but if you watched their engagement on Counting On, you already know it's a gorgeous one. It features a princess-cut diamond and a white gold band.
Abbie's Ring From John David
We'll admit it — Abbie has one of the prettiest engagement rings in the family after she and John David got engaged in an airplane hangar (very appropriate for those two). Her halo ring is set in rose gold on a diamond-studded band, allowing for extra sparkle.
Claire's Ring From Justin
Swipe over to see Claire's engagement ring — it's definitely one of the most unique ones in the family! Though Justin was still a teenager when he asked her to marry him, she said that he paid for the ring himself, and it's an impressive choice.
Katey's Ring From Jed
Considering the fact that Jed and Katey never even shared their engagement until after they were married, we haven't gotten too many peeks at her ring. But from what we have seen, it's beautiful. Featuring a diamond set in a rose gold band, it looks like it fits into her wedding band, too.
Hannah's Ring From Jeremiah
Swipe over to see a close-up of Hannah's ring — it's giving us all the vintage vibes! With three diamonds and a gold band, we could definitely see this one passing the test of time, not to mention making it one of our favorite Duggar rings for sure.
