Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Just Got Caught in a Lie About His First Trip to In-N-Out

As far as controversial celebrities go, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson isn't one of them. He's known for being a fun girl dad, voicing Maui in Moana, and making fans laugh with his social media posts — and that's just the start of the long list of reasons why fans love him. But is he also a liar?! Some seem to think so after The Rock documented his first trip to In-N-Out Burger this week, which may not have actually been the first time he's eaten at the famous burger joint after all!

Over the weekend, The Rock shared what he said was his first In-N-Out experience.

Mostly found in California, the fast-food chain is known for its burgers and is very popular with those living on the West Coast, so it's surprising enough to find out that The Rock had never been there.

He seemed to recognize that, though, and documented his entire experience in a video he shared on Instagram.

He admitted that he 'didn't know the lingo.'

But he picked up on it quickly and showed himself ordering his food in the drive-thru, to which he later gave a very enthusiastic review.

"Loved everyone’s positive vibes and their 'holy s— it’s The Rock' energy," he wrote. "LOVED the grub. And love how everyone in the drive-thru looked at me like I have three heads when I give them a tip."

There's just one problem: This wasn't actually his first In-N-Out experience.

As Page Six pointed out, in August 2022 he shared a video of what he said was his "first time ever" at In-N-Out.

He grabbed two burgers and two orders of fries from the restaurant, which he paired with bottles of his tequila brand, Teremana.

But wait. That wasn't the first time, either …

He *also* went to In-N-Out in 2017.

In February 2017, he posted a selfie where he posed with the drive-thru workers, writing, "I've never been to IN-N-OUT before (I know, what an a–hole;), but when my lovely ladies @laurenhashianofficial & @simonegjohnson wanted late night grub, I happily obliged and pulled in the drive thru."

He added, "You made my ladies very happy with the burgers, fries and shakes and that's what it's all about."

There's a chance it was just an honest mistake.

After all, not everyone remembers every single time they've been to a certain fast food restaurant, and The Rock is a busy guy — we can't blame him for making a harmless mistake like this one.

Either way, it seems like he enjoyed his food and the drive-thru workers got a kick out of seeing him come through the line, so no harm done!
