British actress, Elizabeth Hurley, has certainly seen her share of scandals throughout her very public acting career that’s spanned her bombshell role in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery to her longstanding television arc on The Royals. Of course, she also made waves when she debuted her romantic relationship with none other than Billy Ray Cyrus in April 2025. She’s made it back in the entertainment news cycle recently when she posted a cute bikini shot (sans the top) on her Instagram and her son, Damian, commented something that some people are calling “creepy.”

Okay, so when you’re Elizabeth Hurley, and you still look like a runway ready supermodel at the age of 60, you’re bound to post some photos on social media that showcase your envious looks! And she did just that when she shared a topless but covered photo celebrating that “Spring has sprung!”
Elizabeth Hurley can be seen striking a cheeky hug pose with herself in the grass surrounded by yellow daisies in an Instagram post that she shared in early April 2026. Part of her caption reads, “Today, I sought some Vitamin D in beautiful Herefordshire,” while she wore nothing but a pair of bright yellow bikini bottoms from her swimsuit line Elizabeth Hurley Beach and some SPF.
She couldn’t help but tell her followers that it’s always important to “protect your skin,” and if you do, it’s great to “cream up and GET OUTSIDE.” The importance of SPF should never be downplayed!
One comment that caught some of her followers’ attention was left by none other than her 24-year-old actor and director son, Damian Hurley. Damian’s comment was just three little letters, but it’s garnered quite a bit of attention. All he commented was “omg” on his mom’s social media post and there’s been some chatter ever since!
Should one’s adult son even comment on their mom’s thirst trap type photo? Some people are saying absolutely not.
We’re guessing that when your mom is a celebrity figure like Elizabeth Hurley, you have to be used to seeing her in all sorts of photos in various states of dress that pop up in the tabloids and other places over the years.
When Damian Hurley left his likely unassuming comment on his mom’s Instagram post, it immediately got people talking. If you’re someone who is routinely scrolling on social media and checking out your friends or influencers’ photos, you’re often going to see a lot of their friends, romantic interests, and loved ones hyping them up in the comment section. It’s fairly routine behavior nowadays for anyone with a social media account.
The big question that’s being asked by some in Elizabeth’s Instagram comment section is if those kinds of comments are appropriate for an adult son to leave on their mother’s account. One individual tends to think they aren’t as they commented, “Slightly odd! She’s your mother!” In all fairness, that is true. She is his mom.
Another person dropped a judgmental bomb with a one word comment when they wrote, “Creepy.”
Is that a fair assessment or is the comment section going off for no reason?
Elizabeth and her son, Damian, tend to have quite a unique relationship.
While one person in the comment section came to Damian’s defense, as they shared that possibly he only meant that his mom was being quite “extra” by sharing this kind of photo, you might think otherwise if you knew what kind of bond this mother and son pair have.
The Guardian reported that at just 22 years old, Damian directed his first feature film called Strictly Confidential. It garnered some attention for the fact that Damian was directing none other his mother in what he described as a “sensual mystery” where his mom is kissed and fondled by a female costar.
Even though he claims that the film should not be described as an “erotic thriller,” he did state that his mom “brings a sensuality to the screen that not many can.” That is an interesting thing to say about your own mother’s screen presence!
