Elle King Is Pregnant With Baby No. 2 (& She Wants More Kids)

Elle King is expecting her second child. On September 23, the musician took to Instagram to share the exciting news. On the platform, she shared a reel of a sex reveal for the baby, which revealed that she and her partner Daniel Tooker are expecting a boy. “Doubling down 💙” Elle captioned the reel. In a second post, Elle, 35, showed off her baby bump and wrote that she is “so happy.” “Thank you for all the love and support as @tattooker • Lucky • and I grow our family #TableForFour” she added.

Elle recently shared that she and her partner Dan Tooker got back together.

Elle and Dan already share a son. They welcomed Lucky in September 2021. The couple later separated, however, before getting back together again. In an interview published on September 18, Elle told People that Lucky was part of the reason she and Dan decided to get back together. “This is worth all the effort in the world. My family, this is what deserves all the energy and effort,” Elle told the magazine.

She added that she and Dan “had to grow” before trying to make their relationship work again. “I don’t know,” she said. “I’ll try anything twice.”

She said she's 'the best version of myself now.'

Earlier this year, Elle went viral in a bad way. While performing at the Grand Ole Opry in January for a Dolly Parton birthday tribute concert, Elle was visibly drunk. Speaking to People, she called the backlash that came from that performance “pretty hard” to deal with. The incident also pushed her to make some changes, she told the magazine.

“I did let people down. And ultimately, I let myself down that day, and I never wanted to feel that ever again,” she told People. “I’m definitely able to put on a better show because of some changes that I’ve made in my life, and it gets me more excited.”

She added that she’s “the best version of myself now.”

Her son also inspired her to improve.

Because of her son Lucky, Elle and Dan are back together. But Lucky has inspired Elle in other ways as well. She told People that she worked on healing and improving after her drunken performance because she wants her son to be proud of his mom.

“I’ve got a small son,” she told the magazine. “He’s going to find out about all this one day, and he’s going to see that I tried to be just the best version of myself, and I used it to make myself better, and I did. It’s more of a love story of self than anything.”

Elle wants to have more kids.

With her second baby on the way, Elle spoke to People about whether she plans to have more kids in the future. “I want so many kids,” she told the news outlet. “I just want a big family.”

Lucky has provided inspiration for Elle's music as well.

Elle previously opened up about how she dreamed of having kids for a long time, but before welcoming Lucky, she experienced pregnancy loss due to polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS. “Every single day of this pregnancy is such a miracle,” she previously told People. She wrote her song “Lucky” after becoming a mom. She told the magazine that her son “knows that’s his song.”

“He knows the ‘Lucky’ song because the day that I wrote it, I went back [home], and I literally quietly cried while I played it for him on the phone,” she said.
