Talk about a whopper! Maya Hawke reveals the big lie she told her famous father Ethan Hawke as a teenager that got her into major trouble at home. The actress shared the story on Watch What Happens Live, getting a hilarious response from her fellow guests.

Maya dropped the bomb during a game of 'High School Me.'
Host Andy Cohen was taking turns asking Maya and guest Bryan Cranston about a time they got into hot water growing up when Maya shared her story.
"Oh, I lied about where I said that I was going to therapy, and I really went to lose my virginity," Maya recalled, getting laughs and an enthusiastic "Me too" from Bryan in the process.
She went on to describe the father-daughter conversation.
Fortunately, Ethan didn't know what his daughter was really up to, which made the ensuing conversation that much funnier. Maya explained how her father was "very, very upset" with her after learning she lied about therapy.
"He went, 'Where were you? Where did you go?'" Maya said, changing her voice to try and sound like her dad.
Maya had the perfect comeback for her father's questioning.
Instead of offering up an excuse, Maya turned the tables on her father. "And I said, 'How am I supposed to have secrets if I'm not allowed to tell lies?'" she recalled, impressing both Bryan and Andy in the process.
"Wow, that is such a good line," Andy replied.
Bryan then chimed in with, "Put that on a bumper sticker right now!"

She may have had the last laugh then, but we're sure her dad now knows the truth.
Maya may have been able to keep her little secret back then, but now that the entire world knows what she was doing while playing hooky from therapy — and her dad probably does, too. We have to imagine that's embarrassing for the both of them!
Fortunately it seems like Ethan is a good sport about these things.
The father-daughter duo seem very tight.
Even though Maya's parents, Ethan and Uma Thurman, split up a long time ago thanks to Ethan's rumored affair with the family's nanny, the pair seem to have remained close all these years and have a terrific relationship, both behind and in front of the camera.
We have a hunch Ethan isn't going to give his daughter too hard of a time about her lies all these years later.
