Farrah Abraham has made a lot of questionable parenting choices over the years, but this one is being dubbed her "worst" ever. After the former Teen Mom star revealed that she bought her daughter, Sophia, an albino python as her newest pet, a lot of fans are raising their eyebrows at the decision. Although snakes in general aren't the most common pet, in this case, it's not Sophia's safety that people are worried about.

Farrah Abraham's daughter Sophia showed off her newest gift on Instagram.
In a since-expired post on her Instagram Stories that was captured by The Sun, Sophia revealed that she had adopted an albino python.
"New member to the family," she wrote on the photo, adding that she had named the snake Gold.
Fans quickly shared their concerns online.
A popular Teen Mom subreddit has been discussing Sophia's new pet, and let's just say they're not convinced that she's going to make a very good caretaker.
"I hope she takes better care of it than their other pets. Anyone else remember the baby peacocks who never made an appearance again?" one person wrote.
Another commenter added, "These people are off the wall. Sophia can’t take care of anything bc she has zero adult guidance."
This wasn't a cheap pet, either.
On her own Instagram Stories, Farrah was sure to share her daughter checking out the python before they purchased it from what appears to be a pet store — and that $399 price tag is in full view.
"She just had to make sure everyone knows how much she spent on the snake,"
one Redditor wrote. "That is a beautiful snake but I hope she makes sure to care for it properly."

This isn't Sophia's first snake.
Back in 2022, Sophia took to TikTok to show off another pet snake, a ball python she named Xzan.
Even then, people were concerned about her (and her mom) being able to properly care for the pet, so Sophia took to the comments to defend herself, writing, "guys I already talked to a professional about how to properly take care of the snake. The snake is doing perfectly fine."
Sophia seems prepared to wrangle her new pet.
Here's hoping that after two years of owning a python, she's prepared to add another to her family. In the meantime, we'll be on the lookout for pics of her brand-new friend, Gold the albino python.
