First Fights & Getting Engaged: Relationship Rumors Swirl for Taylor & Travis

There are plenty of upsides to fame (money, fashion, and power, just to name a few) but for many high-profile couples, the constant attention and public interest in their relationship might be the biggest downside. There aren't too many couples in the world who have gotten more attention lately than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Even though the pair has actually been pretty low-profile lately, with no recent interviews about their relationship or public sightings for almost two weeks, people still can't stop talking about them.

In the absence of any new photos of the pair or either of them talking about the other, all kinds of rumors have been popping up in the media about the state of their relationship, including reports the pair are planning on a 2024 engagement. Although Travis might be more focused on surviving one of the coldest NFL games in history this weekend, the speculation about their love life has never been hotter, even if some of these rumors are totally ridiculous!

Did Taylor and Travis just have their first big fight?

Multiple media outlets, some of whom are more credible than others, including Life & Style and the Daily Mail, are reporting that Travis and Taylor's honeymoon period might be over following their first fight. Life & Style claimed that it has learned from unnamed sources that Travis "snapped at" Taylor on Christmas Day and was in a bad mood for days following his team's loss to the Los Angeles Raiders.

Travis, who had been spotted throwing his helmet in frustration during the game, acknowledged on his New Heights podcast that losing a big game on national television on Christmas is the "f—ing worst" but also noted that his holiday was saved by "by good Christmas cheer and good people," which presumably includes Taylor.

Was Taylor a 'nervous wreck' before spending New Years' Eve with Travis?

Life & Style's unnamed source (it always seems to be unnamed sources, doesn't it?) claimed that Taylor was a "nervous wreck" before Travis's New Year's Eve game, worried that another loss for the Chiefs would ruin their time together. They claim she almost considered leaving Kansas City early to avoid the potential stress.

Given that photos of the two smooching at a New Year's Eve party circulated wildly on social media after the Chiefs won, we'll assume that even if this story was true, she ended up being glad she stuck around!

Planning on a summer engagement?

Tabloid gossip site Page Six claims that "sources" close to the couple are planning a summer 2024 engagement. According to its post, sources state that the couple "will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July."

Hmm, we wonder if these are the same sources that claimed the couple was going to get engaged on Taylor's birthday or Christmas Day or New Year's Eve? We're just surprised they didn't throw in a Valentine's Day rumor in there too.

'Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer.'

On the other side of the rumor spectrum, US Weekly just reported that its unnamed sources are saying that although their relationship is "going amazing," they have "no plans on getting engaged this summer."

So, that totally clarifies it. The popular couple, who've been together since late summer 2023, is either recovering from their first fight or planning to get engaged in a few months or totally happy or not planning on getting engaged any time soon. Gotta love those unnamed sources.
