Back in season one of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Demi Engemann told her costars about a situation involving her husband, Bret, and “Fruity Pebbles,” but given the NSFW connotations, it was pretty clear that she meant something other than the cereal.
Now, the mystery has finally been solved, thanks to Jessi Ngatikaura, who spilled the beans on social media. The ladies aren’t friends anymore, so apparently, that means all bets are off.
Jessi made the big reveal in response to a comment Demi made.
According to People, it all started when Jessi responded to a comment that Demi left on an Instagram post. Demi wrote, “Jessi’s somewhere punching air right now that Lisa is talking about me and not her.”
This was Jessi’s cue to unleash on her costar and former friend, noting that she’s “loving this Demi crash out era” in a video she shared on her Instagram Stories.
“So since she wants to be petty and be an a——, I think I’m just going to go ahead and say that Grandpa Bret likes to drink her piss like it’s dirty soda, and he gulps it down like water. And that’s what Fruity Pebbles is,” Jessi said.
Welp, that’s certainly … new information we did not have before.
Demi has already responded.
After Jessi dropped the bomb about Fruity Pebbles, Demi shared an Instagram Stories post of her own.
“What my husband and I did one-time behind closed doors, was a consensual and private experience in our marriage. I won’t let a private act between my husband and I be a distraction from a serious act that I did not consent to,” she wrote.
Demi added, “I shared this information with Jessi in confidence nearly two years ago. It’s very telling that she’s choosing to break storyline and bring it up now, only after her own affair has come to light. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to shift attention away from her own behavior.”
The topic first came up on the show two seasons ago.
It all started when Whitney Leavitt gave Demi a box of Fruity Pebbles as a joke, and though Demi didn’t reveal what it was about at the time, she did say that Bret wasn’t happy his personal life had been shared with her friends.
“He wasn’t a prude about it. He’s like, ‘I get it, I want you to be excited. I want you to be able to talk about these things, but I don’t want to feel like I have to second-guess what I’m about to do in the bedroom,'” she said at the time.
Meanwhile, Jessi has announced that she’ll be taking a social media break following her big reveal in another Instagram Stories post.
“OK now that I’ve spilled the pee, I’m hopping off socials again,” she wrote. “It was really such a great mental break & i miss it lol.”
