One of country music's biggest stars has been in the game for a long time. George Strait is known by his fans and the music industry as the "King of Country," thanks to his longevity in the business and the fact that he's so loved.
In terms of music, there's really no award he hasn't won. He holds the record for the most multi-platinum albums in all of country music. On top of that, he's got the record for the most No. 1 albums and singles. Everything he touches seems to turn to gold, and he's been at the top of the country music charts for 30 years — in a row.
Since the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee has been so successful, it's not a surprise to hear he's done well in terms of real estate, too. He's currently got his Texas mansion on the market for a cool $7.5 million. And we have photos.
Come take a look inside the home of one of the world's biggest stars — this property is stunning.
An Overview
This mansion is perched on the top of a hill in San Antonio, Texas, and an impressive 12 acres come with this property. From the view up here, it's clear that this is a prime real estate spot, and we get a feel for how big the home is.
Inside this 7,925-square-foot mansion are four bedrooms and seven baths. The home has 14 hand-sculpted fireplaces, which are the focal point of every room they're in.
The Courtyard
We get a taste for what's inside from this beautiful courtyard, which has shallow steps, intricate tilework, and mature trees.
Cozy Living Room
How comfortable does this space look? We'd love to hang out on the couch or on those upscale bean bag chairs. It can be a challenge to make these large homes feel cozy, but there's the right amount of furniture, texture, and light allowing that to happen here.
A Country Dining Room
When homes have formal dining rooms, that's how we can tell they're large. There's enough space in here for this eight-person oversized table, with the fireplace off to the side. There's a bright and beautiful view of the backyard with the windows. And, for entertaining purposes, the living space isn't too far away.
The Farmhouse Chef's Kitchen
We've come to expect these mansion kitchens to be big and impressive. This one in George's home doesn't disappoint. It's perfect for those who love that farm or country feel, but still want the amenities of a chef's kitchen.
A Large Terrace
This terrace, which is up on the top floor of the home, is the exact place to hang out to soak in the hilltop view. It's easy to feel like the king of the world (or country) up here. There's a lot of space for entertaining or lounging on a day off.
The Main Bedroom Upstairs
Up on the home's top floor, the main bedroom has the same sort of feel as the downstairs. We see the exposed beams — and just look at the woodwork on the ceiling. Add to that the full-wall window offering a beautiful view of outside, and we're jealous he gets to wake up here each morning.
A Safe? Or Panic Room?
It's hard to tell what this is exactly, but with the phrase "Fort Knox" written across the center, we're going to guess it's a massive safe. Although, it could be a panic room — something many of these fancy houses have in case someone breaks in.
Beautiful Fireplace
Something we've noticed in common with celebrity homes and the interiors is when there's a fireplace. It's usually over-the-top fancy. This one definitely fits that bill. It's the center part of the room, and all the eye focus goes there immediately. It helps this space feel like home.
The Main Floor
It's hard to tell exactly what this space is used for, but for people who love to see homes with open beams and pillars — especially antique wood — this is a dream space. It shows how the floor plan is open while still defining where the room ends and the next begins.
Inside to Outside
For those who live in climates where the indoors and outdoors don't necessarily have to be separated, having an indoor-outdoor space is important. Here, we can see the beautiful floor tiles make their way to the outdoors in one giant open space. We bet nightcaps are perfect in this spot.
Tennis Court
Yes, there's enough space on this property for a full (and we mean regulation-sized) tennis court that doubles as a basketball court. Surrounded by mature trees for privacy, playing out here seems a lot more fun than going to the gym.
The Beautiful Backyard
Has there ever been a more eye-catching backyard? This is some of the most beautiful stone and tilework we've seen, and it's definitely full of fancy and class. The house itself is beautiful, and that in-ground hot tub is where we'd like to hang out now.
The Pool
Most celebrity homes have a backyard pool. But there's something extra fancy and special when we come across an infinity pool. These things are expensive, and living on the hill, we imagine it's incredible to hang out and enjoy the view.
There's Going to Be a Lucky New Owner
It's not always easy to say goodbye to a property. This one does look like it's something special with the gorgeous interiors and the impressive yard and amenities. We're sure the new owners will be happy here.
