Though Gisele Bündchen previously suggested that she did not vote for President Donald Trump in 2016, she appears to maintain a strong friendship with his daughter Ivanka. Gisele was recently spotted relaxing and chatting with Ivanka on a yacht in Miami, according to photos shared by Page Six. The photos showed the two friends wearing matching black bikinis and eating food from takeout containers. Gisele’s boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, also joined them.
Per ¡Hola!, Gisele and Ivanka were also seen sunbathing with Gisele’s daughter Vivian Brady and one of her friends. According to the publication, Gisele and Ivanka have become good friends while living in Florida. Earlier this year, in April, they were spotted spending time together on a beach in Costa Rica. At the time, people slammed Gisele for choosing to align herself with the Trump family in any way, though some said it was “in no way surprising.”
Reacting to the beach photos, one critic on Reddit wrote that they “hate seeing trash on the beach.”
Others pointed to how Gisele previously claimed that she was not voting for Trump. “It’s so funny how much less some of these celebs care about any public association with MAGA than they were eight years ago,” they said. “Gisele definitely wasn’t happy about Brady’s association with Trump around the time of the 2016 republican primaries.”
Many saw it as evidence that rich people do not care about those who are not wealthy. “This is why I have no empathy for rich people,” one person wrote in response to Gisele and Ivanka’s friendship. Someone else added, “Ivanka is also besties with Kim K. In the end, it’s all just class solidarity.”
Before Gisele and Ivanka’s friendship came to light, Joaquim and his siblings revealed that Ivanka was training at their jiu-jitsu studio. According to ¡Hola!, Ivanka’s kids train with Gisele’s boyfriend too.
