Many fans expressed support and sympathy for Grimes as she took to X to beg her ex Elon Musk to respond to her during their child’s “medical crisis.” On Thursday, February 20, the Canadian musician, who shares three children with Elon, took to X to try to get him to pay attention to the situation, which she wrote required “immediate attention.”

She told him it was ‘urgent.’
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly, but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation,” Grimes wrote in a now-deleted X post. “This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”
When someone responded to the post to tell Grimes that she should probably communicate with Elon privately, Grimes explained that she couldn’t reach him.

“I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f—ing respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at,” Grimes explained.
Fans felt sorry for Grimes and her children.
On social media, fans expressed concern for the mother of three. “I can’t imagine having to do this as a mother,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
Another fan couldn’t imagine needing to ask the father of their child to “designate or hire someone” to handle their own child’s medical crisis. “What a sad reality to live in,” the person wrote. “I genuinely feel bad for the kid, no chance they experience anything close to ‘normal.'”
“I just want to give her a hug,” a third fan wrote.
They also began to understand why Grimes might be hesitant to speak out against Elon Musk.
In the past, Grimes has garnered criticism for failing to publicly speak out against her controversial ex. Sensing Grimes’ desperation in this scary situation, some fans said they could understand why she hesitates to share her views publicly.
“People judge her for excusing him but I honestly think it’s hard to say how much he demands she do or how she would be punished by denying her communication and access to her child,” one person noted.
Another fan hypothesized that Elon might “lash out” in response to her recent X posts. “Wouldn’t be surprised if he lashes out at her in some way for ‘humiliating’ him since being called out publicly was probably a blow to his ego,” they wrote.
Her initial posts were later removed.

Later, when the musician’s initial X posts disappeared, some fans suspected that Grimes had been “shadowbanned.” When a fan reached out to tell her that she seemingly was “shadowbanned,” Grimes clarified that she deleted the posts.
“I am deleting them now because if they’re being shadow banned and not eliciting a response then all it is is a media circus at the expense of the kids,” she wrote.
Grimes and Elon are parents to X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2. It’s unclear which child is dealing with a medical issue. The former couple’s 4-year-old recently joined Elon at a White House Oval Office press conference.
Based on her response on social media, Elon didn’t speak to Grimes about their son’s White House visit. In response to a fan who shared the news with her on X, Grimes wrote that her child “should not be in public like this.”
She added that she “did not see this” until the fan brought it to her attention. “But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh,” she concluded at the time.
