Hailey Bieber Dragged Over YSL Swimsuit Campaign ‘Bathroom’ Poses

If you’re someone who grew up in the ’90s, you have seen a thing or two over the years when it comes to modeling campaigns. Things are kind of tame nowadays in terms of nudity and what constitutes true art in a modeling sense, which is perhaps why Hailey Bieber‘s latest YSL swimsuit campaign has given people the ick. Once you take a peek at one of the shots in the campaign, your mind may immediately go to the thought, ‘Does she need to use the bathroom?’ Which, chances are, if you’re on the creative team for this massive luxury fashion brand, that’s likely not what you were hoping people would think when perusing the new line of swimwear!

Hailey Bieber is certainly catching people’s attention in this new YSL swimwear campaign.

There’s a certain kind of attitude and lifestyle that you instantly think of when shopping for some of these luxury fashion brands. For so many people, they’re often thought of as being aspirational because their campaigns feature immaculate models wearing the most luxurious clothing and accessories that you can only hope to own one day.

Founded over 70 years ago, the YSL or Saint Laurent brand has showcased some beautiful models and collaborations over the years, including with Charlotte Gainsbourg and Zoe Kravitz.

The latest person to be added to that list is none other than Hailey Bieber. Only, the Tangerine Temptation swimwear line that she can be seen modeling in the campaign — which honestly features some cute swimsuits — is not making people swoon!

A lot of people can’t seem to get over how there are so many ‘bathroom’ poses in this campaign.

When looking at all of Hailey’s photos featured in this swimwear campaign, we can’t help but wonder who directed this photoshoot, and what they possibly could have been thinking in terms of how they had her pose.

On the brand’s Instagram page, one individual took to the comments section to ask the question, “Why is she standing like that… I don’t get it?” That is a very good question!

Another person said what a lot of us were thinking. They wrote, “What are with these poses?” They followed this comment with a laughing face emoji, which seems completely fitting.

In a Reddit thread looking at this YSL campaign, there are even more comments from people trying to figure out what the heck happened with this modeling shoot. One person wrote, “Slide 2 is when I don’t want to touch the seat in a public toilet.” We’ve all been there, haven’t we?

Another person shared, “Picture 2? Is she about to pee on the lawn? What are we even doing?” Truly, we all have no idea!

This is not the first time that people have had thoughts about Hailey Bieber’s modeling.

Whether she’s modeling for magazines or her popular skincare brand, Rhode, people have routinely had some things to say about Hailey’s modeling techniques.

In another Reddit thread discussing Hailey’s modeling over the years, there’s several people who aren’t really a fan. One person laid it all out by saying, “She isn’t a good model. The only reason she gets these gigs is because of her dad and now because she’s Jb’s wife. She is very pretty, but her poses don’t really give much personality IMO.”

Another individual shared their thoughts on her overall presence. “She’s not a good model and I noticed that in her photos she only likes to pose from one side of her face. It’s very apparent on her Instagram too. She’s just tall(ish) and skinny, there’s nothing that stands out. Her poses are so boring and her expressions are so blank.” Wow. It sure doesn’t sound like they would be one to purchase one of those YSL swimsuits!

If there’s one thing to be taken from this particular luxury fashion brand campaign, it’s that you need to be very mindful about the poses you ask the model to take. Otherwise, you end up with something like this, which is getting attention, but for all the wrong reasons.
