Hilaria Baldwin Blames ‘Strategic Bullying’ from ‘Mean Girls’ for ‘DWTS’ Elimination

Hilaria Baldwin was recently eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, but she suggested it wasn’t because of her performance. Instead, “mean girls” on the internet are responsible for her losing the dancing competition. During an interview with Us Weekly at the 2025 Guru Awards, Hilaria said she believes she didn’t get enough votes because people online strategically plotted against her.

Admitting that she is not super familiar with TikTok, she claimed that people on the social media platform strategically tried to get her eliminated from the show. “I’m very new to TikTok,” she told the publication. “I’ve only been on a couple months. It’s interesting because there’s a lot of mean girls.”

These “mean girls” allegedly told people to vote for everyone but Hilaria, allegedly resulting in her elimination from the show. “I guess what people were doing is they were having campaigns where they wouldn’t just vote for their favorite — because you can vote 10 times for a couple — they were voting for all the other couples except us, so they were boosting everybody else and trying to drown out my fan base,” she said.

Hilaria and her dancing partner, Gleb Savchenko, were eliminated from the show during its Disney-themed night. The duo danced to “Cantina Band” from Star Wars. Though Hilaria was obviously disappointed about the results, she said she’s “glad my other friends were voted for.”

She called the alleged strategic efforts to have her eliminated “sad,” and seemingly alluded to them during an Instagram Live. She claimed that she had to exit the competition due to “very coordinated, very strategic bullying.”

“And as I feel the darkness that undoubtedly brings to me, I always want to remember that my life belongs to the whole community and I want to leave a lasting mark of courage to speak up against what is simply wrong,” she added.

She also spoke about the people who have criticized her “for years” now. “Some of the people who have harassed me for years and misrepresented and outright have lied about me, I know that they’ll only be satisfied when I’m gone,” Hilaria said. “I think that nothing I can say or do will be right. In their eyes, I am always getting everything wrong, and I’m too much and not enough. And there’s nothing I can do about that.”

Whether or not mean girls on TikTok are truly responsible for Hilaria’s elimination from Dancing with the Stars, she has dealt with her share of haters over the years. Her accent in particular has garnered a lot of controversy, as people have accused her of faking it.
