A new video of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is drawing anger over the teen's accent and mannerisms. The clip was pulled from a TikTok Live session featuring the former reality star who said she's going to start speaking more "ghetto" after receiving numerous complaints about her grammar. There’s a definite cringe factor here.

Alana was cursing and speaking with an exaggerated accent in the clip.
The Toddlers and Tiaras alum addressed her fans in the snippet captured from the original video. "I'ma actually start talking like this … OK. Cuz' y'all think I'm so ghetto, I'm finna show y'all how f—ing ghetto," she said into the camera.
Fans weren't happy with Alana, and you could see some of their comments in the live chat portion of the video.
Some people felt the video was racist.
In addition to her words, Alana was also tapping the side of her head as she spoke, which some people believed was another way she was choosing to mock Black people.
Whether it was her intention or not, Alana ruffled quite a few feathers with the stunt.
Alana addressed her followers in her Instagram Stories.
She called out the website The Shade Room for sharing an edited version of her video, saying that it only did so because it was confident it would go viral.
"No, I wasn't attempting to offend anyone," she continued in the lengthy post. "I did this because people frequently comment on how 'ghetto' my speech is. Which I feel in no way I do! I feel I am my own true self and if you don't like it you simply don't have to comment on it!"
Alana said she just wanted to troll the trolls.
"Also I would love to add that in no way was I being rude or disrespectful by the head taps," the post continued. "I [understand] that people use that method to relieve itch when they have a hairstyle. I'm fully aware, I also love trying new wigs as well … lastly, this is the end I will speak on this topic."

It's unclear whether Alana's fans are buying her apology.
After some people went into Alana's old Instagram posts to call her out over the video, the former reality star disabled the comments on her account.
It seems like she's going to have to do a little bit more to convince fans that she wasn't attempting to be racist with her video, but from what we can tell, it may be a long while before everyone forgives her for how she behaved.
