After growing up in the spotlight herself, Ivanka Trump is now raising three kids in the public eye with husband Jared Kushner: daughter Arabella and sons Joseph and Theodore. It’s a little bit different for her kids, though — they’re growing up as the grandchildren of the president of the United States, after all. And now, Ivanka’s getting a lot of buzz for her latest life update on Instagram, which included a new photo of Arabella looking more grown up than ever.
Ivanka shared a look at “life lately.”
Her post included a carousel of photos that she’s snapped recently, from moments from Mother’s Day to family photos… and a snap of her meeting with King Charles during his state visit to the US. So, you know, just totally normal stuff.
One of the photos featured her and 14-year-old Arabella standing side-by-side in coordinating maroon outfits (a gown for Ivanka and a suit for her daughter). It appears to have been taken the night they joined Donald Trump at a UFC fight in Miami last month. And despite the fact that Arabella is still in her young teens, it’s hard to deny how grown up she looks, especially all dressed up like this.
Her daughter definitely seems to have inherited her height.
At 5’11”, Ivanka is a tall woman, and Arabella doesn’t seem to be far behind her — especially after seeing them standing next to each other like this! Of course, they’re probably both wearing heels, but there’s no denying that Ivanka’s daughter is quickly catching up to her.
It doesn’t seem like it was all that long ago that Arabella was just a little girl occasionally spotted with her grandfather during his first term in the White House, so it’s wild to see just how much older she looks these days (and how closely she’s starting to resemble her mom).
Ivanka’s post is also prompting people to accuse her of being “out of touch.”
The photo with Arabella wasn’t the only one that had Ivanka’s followers talking, though. The post as a whole seemed to leave a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths, since many of her photos (including the one that showed her lounging next to a pool at home while watching a movie on a big projector screen) offered glimpses of a life that’s unattainable for many Americans who are struggling financially right now.
“Yeah, just like us, classic working people, living everyday lives,” wrote one sarcastic commenter.
Another added, “Completely set for life because of the Trump presidency. Sickening. You all don’t feel bad?”
So far, Ivanka doesn’t appear to have responded to any of the comments… but she might be too busy relaxing by the pool to read them.
