Ivanka Trump Knows Everyone Wants Her To Throw Her Dad Under the Bus

It’s not often that Ivanka Trump gives an interview, or one where she talks about both of her parents, but when she appeared on The Diary of a CEO, she opened up about her parents divorce, growing up with a pretty unorthodox childhood, and the way people see her dad Donald Trump. Because yes, apparently, Ivanka understands just how hated he is by many.

Of course, there are plenty of MAGA enthusiasts who not only support Trump, but also his family members, including Ivanka. But in the interview, Ivanka shared her thoughts on being vulnerable with the public and how the public expects perfection. She also touched on that assassination attempt, because how could she not?

She admitted people have been willing to distance themselves from Trump.

During the interview, Ivanka shared admiration for her dad when it comes to how he is in the real world and as a professional. Does everyone agree with this alleged authenticity? I mean, probably not. But Ivanka was ready to go to bat for her dear old dad, and she made that clear throughout her interview.

“I think one of the things that makes my father so unique is how he is so authentic in a world where so few people are like that profession, that realm,” she said. “And they’re almost like you look at them and feel like they’re robots, the way they speak, the way they interact, the way they engage. Oftentimes you see that when you’re with them one-on-one, as you do, as it comes across like on a debate on a television set.”

Despite Trump being authentic in the public eye and Ivanka admiring him for that, she also said that she doesn’t think everyone needs to be their “most vulnerable self.”

For Trump, that means embracing who he is as a person and sharing that with the world, but also, somehow, not allowing other people to be able to use it against him, it seems.

“And then politics and you have to be perfect and any slip up is completely weaponized against you so you become very careful publicly,” she added. “I think the mistake though is people get confused and they lose a sense of themselves and they bring that into their relationships like off the public stage.”

She also noted that power can change people, even if Trump already had a circle of people around him before he was elected as president a second time.

“One of the things you realize pretty quickly is power, just like money, makes people more of what they already are,” Ivanka said. “And you see that very much in playing out in politics and in life, right? I also think you realize people are just people.”

Ivanka Trump also commented on the attempted assassination.

When Ivanka was asked about Trump getting shot in July 2024 in an assassination attempt, she addressed the fact that other people can’t relate to individuals wanting one of their parents dead. She chooses not to be negative when it comes to the assasination attempt that left Trump with a clipped ear and thousands of supporters with hastily made patches on their own ears.

“There’s a lot of sickness there,” Ivanka said. “And you know, I think that forgiveness is a difficult thing in this regard, but I think…his living was a blessing.”

Some accused her of being fake and giving “controlled” answers.

After the interview was posted on YouTube, some Trump supporters commented to applaud Ivanka for her comments, Other people, however, were quick to call her out for the moments they saw as far too rehearsed to be authentic. Especially since Ivanka herself spoke of the importance of authenticity.

“Very impressive performance by Ivanka, but there were no interesting or hard questions,” someone commented. “My gut feel is that, in this interview, she is about 90% not open and sincere but rather perfectly controlled and says what she thinks is right to say.”

Another wrote, “Highly suspicious interview coming out of left field together with Melania’s press event. What big story is about to drop? The fixers are busy.” All that was missing was the double-eye emoji.
