J.Crew’s New Sweater for Men Has MAGA All Riled Up

Considering the fact that it’s now 2025, many people have let go of the idea that the color pink is for girls and the color blue is for boys … except for certain devotees of president Donald Trump, that is. After J.Crew debuted a pink sweater in stores and online, MAGA is in an outrage. Yes, all about a sweater.

The J.Crew sweater is pretty basic.

Now available on J.Crew’s website, the pink wool sweater features a Fair Isle pattern around the neckline. A screenshot of the sweater was shared on X by former nurse (and prolific Republican poster) Juanita Broaddrick, who wrote, “Are you kidding me?? Men, would you wear this $168 sweater?”

The comments about the sweater are brutal.

According to the responses to the post, no, the men who follow Juanita would absolutely not wear this sweater.

One replied, “Call me sexist, but that guy looks like he got into his grandma’s closet to borrow that while doing his laundry.”

“I wouldn’t even buy that thing for a woman. That is the fugliest sweater I have seen outside of Christmas sweaters in a long time,” another wrote.

The controversy has also bled over onto the reviews on J.Crew’s website.

There are several negative reviews of the sweater on J.Crew’s site, though it doesn’t appear that they’re actually from people who have purchased the sweater.

In one review titled “the worst sweater ever,” a user who goes by Samuel23 wrote, “Do better J.Crew. Real men would not wear this feminine sweater. Not buying from J.Crew as long as you promote this kind of nonsense.”

Someone is buying the sweater, though — it’s already sold out in more than one size.

Others are simply amused by the controversy.

On Reddit, those on the opposite side of the political aisle are getting a kick out of the outrage.

“Imagine being triggered by a sweater,” said one Redditor, to which another responded, “It’s mentally exhausting living in this timeline, friends and neighbors.”

So far, J.Crew hasn’t commented on the uproar.
