Jana Duggar is celebrating the “adventure of a lifetime” after she recently traveled to Hawaii with her husband, Stephen Wissmann. While there, Jana and Stephen took a helicopter ride and enjoyed the incredible view from the helicopter. On Instagram, the former 19 Kids and Counting star shared several of her favorite photos and clips from their trip.
‘Flying over Kauai, Hawaii, was an incredible experience!’ Jana wrote.
Jana shared a photo of herself and her husband in the helicopter, along with several videos of what they saw from inside. “Soaring through the skies and soaking in the breathtaking views from the helicopter was truly an adventure of a lifetime!” she captioned the post.
The Counting On alum and her husband have been married for about six months. On March 9, Stephen took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone. “In awe of God’s gifts. And someone to share them with! @janamduggar 6 months in, I’m excited to share at least another 600 with you!” he wrote.
Jana’s trip to Hawaii comes shortly after her big move.
After marrying Stephen, Jana moved from Arkansas to Nebraska. In a video shared in November 2024, she spoke about how she expected it to be a big adjustment for her. “I know my life is about to change in many ways, moving more to the city life,” she said.
Moving to Nebraska also meant moving away from her family. “I’m definitely going to miss being so close to everyone and being able to just pop over and hang out all the time,” she explained. Her new home is about a seven-hour drive from where she grew up.
Prior to getting married, Jana and Stephen kept their relationship a secret.
Jana’s big move came as a surprise to some fans, as they didn’t even know she was dating anyone when she and Stephen got married in August 2024. Jana only began sharing footage from the months leading up to her wedding after her wedding day. In one update shared in October (but filmed before that), Jana said she was “so excited to be getting married and starting this new life with Stephen.” However, she also admitted that she knew she would “miss having my family close by.”
At one point, Jana thought marriage was never going to happen for her.
Jana is the eldest daughter in the Duggar family. Previously, she admitted that it was a bit “disheartening” to watch so many of her younger siblings find love and get married before her. “For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming,’” she told People. “But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’”
In September 2024, Jana wrote a sweet message to her husband in celebration of their one-month wedding anniversary. “Life with you keeps getting better, and I can’t help but smile thinking about all the sweet moments we’ve shared. 🥂 to forever!” she wrote at the time.
On January 12, Jana’s birthday, Stephen described his wife as “the loveliest and most incredible friend and wife.”
