Now that Jana Duggar is married, fans have been waiting for a pregnancy announcement … and wondering if she even wants to have kids at all because she was so active in raising her younger siblings. But after her latest social media post, some are speculating that a pregnancy announcement might be coming sooner rather than later.
It all started with Jana’s new life update.
On Sunday, Jana took to Instagram to share a video that included clips from March to share what she and husband Stephen Wissmann have been up to over the past month. It looks like these two have certainly been keeping themselves busy!
“March – 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle with tile. Evening bike rides, many trips to Lowe’s, and sweet memories spent together,” she wrote in her caption.
Fans immediately noticed a change in Jana’s appearance.

After one of the selfies featured in Jana’s video made it to her Instagram Stories so she could link out to the safety glasses she was wearing, fans on Reddit pointed out that her face seems to be swollen – something that happens pretty commonly in pregnancy.
“I didn’t even recognize her! Her face is sooo swollen! Definitely pregnant,” one person wrote.
Another commenter added, “She’s got pregnant nose. Normally I’m not about pregnancy speculation but I’ve got to get on record for this one – definite pregnant nose lol.”
Jana does look a bit different these days.
Compared to photos that Jana posted earlier this year, her face does seem to be more swollen in the new selfie. Of course, there are reasons for this that have nothing to do with pregnancy, but given her family’s affinity for babies, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if an announcement does happen to be on the horizon.
As the first woman in her family to wait to get married until her 30s, it also wouldn’t be surprising at all if she wanted to start her motherhood journey sooner rather than later, even though she and Stephen have only been married for about six months.
So far, she and Stephen seem to be enjoying married life.
From everything we’ve seen Jana share since she and Stephen tied the knot in August, it looks like they’re enjoying that newlywed bliss.
We’ll have to wait and see if Jana posts any other clues that seem to point to pregnancy. When and if the time does come, do we think she’ll share the exciting news or wait ’til the baby has already arrived, just like she waited to share her relationship with Stephen until after they were married?
