Jana Duggar has been through a lot of changes over the past six months – most notably, getting married to Stephen Wissmann and moving into the couple’s newly remodeled home in Nebraska from Arkansas, where she lived her entire life. Even though she has plenty of experience traveling with her own family, now she’s sharing what it was like to travel with the Wissmanns for the very first time.
Jana shared photos from the trip on Instagram.
In an Instagram post that Jana shared earlier this week, she included photos of some of the moments from their trip to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa for an event called Old Threshers over the Labor Day weekend back in September 2024, which means her update on this getaway is a bit delayed! Her Instagram carousel began with a photo of her and Stephen sporting matching (temporary) tattoos on their arms.
“Looking back on my first trip with Stephen’s family,” Jana wrote in her caption. “We had a fun time!”
She also created a vlog of their adventures.
“This was my first time going on a trip with Stephen’s family. There were a few surprises along the way, but we had a lot of good laughs,” Jana wrote when she uploaded the video to YouTube earlier this week.
She and Stephen traveled with their new trailer that doubled as a place to stay during the trip, and it appears they had a blast. Though Stephen’s family was there to play music at the event, from Jana’s vlog, it looks like they got to have plenty of fun while they were there as well, including plenty of time by the campfire.
He even had the chance to introduce those at the event to Jana as his wife for the first time. In one clip, Stephen said, “This is her first year here. We got married two and a half weeks ago.”
Stephen also comes from a big family.
Although Stephen definitely doesn’t have 18 siblings like his wife does, he still comes from a very big family. He is one of 13 children, including sister Hannah Duggar, who is married to Jana’s brother, Jeremiah. The family has formed their own Christian music band and often plays together at events like Old Threshers.
Considering that Jana is now in her 30s, it’s probably not in the cards for her and Stephen to have kids in the double digits – but you never know what they might be planning.
