‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown Is ‘Over’ Dating & Marriage After Kody Brown Split

Unlike the other wives who split from their polygamous marriage to Kody Brown, Janelle Brown isn’t looking for love. In fact, the Sister Wives star is “over it.” At this point in her life, the 55-year-old isn’t interested in marriage or dating. On a February 17 episode of the Sibling Revelry podcast, Janelle explained her thought process.

Janelle and Kody announced their split more than two years ago.

In December 2022, Janelle and Kody confirmed their split publicly, though Janelle shared that they had been separated for some time before that. They were spiritually married, but never legally married. They spiritually tied the knot in 1993.

The ‘Sister Wives’ star is kind of ‘over’ the whole marriage thing.

Janelle will likely remain single (by choice) for a while. During the recent podcast appearance, Janelle said she’s “done.” Luckily, she enjoys being single. “I love my single life,” she said.

Given that she likes her life the way it is currently, she’s not concerned about her dating life at the moment. “I’m not really interested in getting married again or even really dating at this stage,” she explained. “So I’m not even thinking about, like, ‘Oh, what do I need to do?’ Because I’m just like, I am over [it].”

Though she’s not looking for love, she suggested that she might be open to it at some point. “If something presents itself in the future, then I’ll consider what I need to do,” she added.

Previously, Janelle said she identifies as ‘single’ rather than
‘divorced.’

During a January 2024 interview with People, Janelle said she doesn’t usually think of herself as being “divorced” since she and Kody were not legally married.

“I guess I just consider myself single, I don’t consider myself divorced or separated or whatever,” she explained to the publication. “I just think I’m single.” She added that when she explains her situation to other people, she usually says something like, “I’m no longer with my partner,” rather than, “I’m divorced.”

In contrast, Christine Brown got married in 2023.

Christine announced her split from Kody in 2021. About two years later, she married David Woolley. When Christine and David celebrated one year of marriage in October 2024, David described Christine as “the most thoughtful, loving, caring person.”

“I’m enjoying this ride and want to just keep riding,” he added.

Meri Brown is also open to finding love.

Meri has sparked romance rumors by sharing photos of a “mystery man.” While the “mystery man” does not seem to be Meri’s boyfriend, she has said she’s “100 percent” open to finding love again. She previously described her ideal partner as someone who is “not shy about who he is and what he wants.”

“He’s gotta match my energy,” she added. “He can’t be intimidated or bothered by what I do or who I am because that’s not gonna work for me.”
